New money

New money

Postby redrobo » Tue Jan 28, 2025 11:52 am

Rod did say that he had seen evidence of additional funds being made by Jason in last weeks video explaining the reason for no signings.

Is that money actually now available or is it yet another broken pledge by the current owner :?:

If it is just another meaningless statement by Jason how many more does our BoDs have to take at face value when they probably like the rest of us are sick and tired of the continuous lie after lie...... :?: :?: :?:

Even if such funds have been made available it looks likely they will be needed for the clubs running costs.
I winder if we know how much we are getting from the Chelsea game yet

It's because of these new 'windfalls" of probably £400K+, that Jason has seemingly pulled out of financing wages etc.
Assuming running costs and overheads will be say £130K a month, that should cover us till end of March/April

That's exactly how I see it.

Crappingham tells EFL he'll put in £400k to run the club.
Club makes £400k from FA Cup run.
Crappingham tells EFL he's not putting £400k to run the club.
Club uses £400k from FA Cup to run the club.

Which makes it more puzzling why he can't prove to be able to finance the Club till the end of the season

Derek said in his pre Bradford press conference that as it stands the money so he is planning as if it won't be and there won't be any new signings. He said that obviously he can't be contacting clubs for players when he has no money to offer which is fair enough.

Small chance it goes in on time but even at this point we'd be feeding on whatever scraps the loan market has left, not the best investment of limited funds.

I guess we could still be hopeful that we can use it towards free agents but again, if you haven't got a club by now then that is usually telling.

The list is slim though, Connor Wickham maybe? Released by Charlton in the summer. Jake Taylor and Brandon Barker both still without a club, or... Jordy Hiwula?

Take what Jason says with a pinch of salt.

I remember last time Jason said he budgetted enough money for the club to last all season, But! there was a shortfall because of too many Saturday games being called off with players on international duty., then the rearranged games being played midweek with smaller crowds

There might be a fair point in there somewhere but we also had a run to the third round of the FA cup and sold Mayor for £200k+ which you have to imagine would have far outweighed the lost income from those rearranged games.

May be Momi is playing Jason seeing the position the Club is in the League?

This will leave Jason having to fulfil his obligations that he agreed to at the beginning of the season, all the time hoping the sale goes through and then Jason gets rid of the Club and gets a hold of his money (at last)!!

Momi might be waiting to see if we are going out of the League 2 and if we do, presumably he will pay less for the Club.

If that is so with Jason funding the Club through loans on the Club he will be in a much worse position than 2.6 yrs ago and is probably relying on the Clubs FA Cup windfall to pay, what is Jason’s responsibility, out of thoughts funds.

The BODs have no choice but to pay the Clubs wages if Jason doe not cover the wages as he should.

It’s going to be hard enough to stay in the league as it is without EFL point deductions.

I wonder if Jason is relying on the EFL relegation payment to pay off some of the loans and then he can afford to sell at a lower price (presumably having already used some of the Chelsea money to pay off some loans, or at least not have to lend more for the final months of the season).

Nobody has actually answered my original question about the money from a 3rd party as mentioned by Rod in the video interview.

As I said that money and the Chelsea money (the windfalls) will have gone into the funds for running the club

That's in addition to the reported £472k that each club receives via the EFL.

Yep even with that and increasing the crowds since PMG times, we still manage to lose money.

Business Rates will cost a lot more this year too with the discount being reduced

I hope with pressure building we find Jason has come up with the money and we invest in a couple of new players- fingers crossed!

So, some cash has been made available, and we can sign someone. Will Derek's targets still be available?

Hopefully we can get that Andy Dallas snapped up now.

Barnsley recently recalled him back, after being loaned out to Barrow it was said?

We sent him back but it was more about balancing the books as we looked to make other signings rather than him being crap.

He’ll do ok for you, if you get him.

Weird things happened on our social media today.
First of all the website goes down.
2nd the club release a statement but it doesn't look like it's been released by our club more likely to be Jason

3rd now if you go on the clubs Facebook account it only brings up stuff from 2023 but has gone back to normal in the last hour
