Suggest everybody takes a look at DAs post match interview on the OWS.

He's spot on about the lack of quality and a lack of class about Walsall.

Looking further ahead I hope that whatever happens come the end of this season that DA will decide to stay with the club and rebuild his squad using a number of the current squad as the basis if a team going forward.

We are a good team and as has been pointed out numerous times the lack of a goalscorer has / will cost us dear. The close season is the time for DA to put together a squad that will be ab;e tp compete successfully BUT like previous close seasons it all depends on what budget the owner (whoever that is) is able to provide so that our club will be able to compete at the lower end of other clubs budgets.

Derek being honest as usual. The strikers are there to score goals and they are not taking their chances.

I would be very surprised if DA is still with us after this season if we are relegated.

If Derek is facing losing virtually the entire squad like last season then I'm sure he won't be here. No matter what league we're in.

Derek does usually protect the players but his comments there are fair - we are losing games because we’re missing chances and there’s not an awful lot he can do as manager about that.

Can’t see him staying if we go down. I think he thinks of himself as a football league manager and the national league is a bit beneath him.

Derek will probably stay until he gets a better offer. Ironically this is more likely to happen if he keeps us up.

If he did think that he'd be right but the main reason he will leave us will be not having the funds at his disposal at the time he needs them. I think that will apply even if we stay up. It must be odds on that we will have to part with all our team again this Summer.

Get a goal scoring coach in, to help, if we get scoring goals, it will make all the difference.

I've been thinking along similer lines about a striker coach, even if we only some one in for a few weeks to give the lads a few pointers.

Seen the interview, DA is right to a point.

However Andy Dallas needs to be playing as a center÷forward, not a wing=forward, so he can put the ball away.

I'd like a 4 4 2, with Lewis as a left winger crossing the ball into a front 2.

I agree with this. Always surprises me that Adam Lewis doesn't start.

I do think there is a decent player in Dackers, but I don't think we've played to his strengths, as a lone target man, for most of the season. He's pretty nimble for a tall guy and has a nice touch. I'd like to see Adam Lewis getting crosses in for him. The best crosser of the ball in the club, with the tallest man in the centre, with two finishers either side of him. But, we need the crosses to start with. Dackers was only narrowly over from a Lewis cross yesterday. Ninety minutes of that supply please.
