I think you have to cancel the direct debit with your bank too.

Tough one, but I'm not all that sure it does directly help the club to be honest, not in terms of individuals signing up for Morecambe World anyway. I imagine that money goes straight to PremiumTv. Don't get me wrong, I have bought World and I value the service (others don't, just my opinion) due to mainly not being able to make many of the games (especially the home ones). But if you are buying the World service simply to give money to the club, you'd be better off writing them a cheque or buying something from the club shop (some special price £9.99 home shirts for example  ).

What the deal with Premium Tv offers IMO is a much more up to date site which seems to enable other areas of the press to keep a tap on MFC much more easily. Announcements on our official sites seem to be picked up by the BBC et all quite rapidly now. The old official site was a great database (probably had more information than the current one), but wasn't really updated with anything other than a match reports. I certainly didn't use the old site as much as I do the current one. Obviously other parts of the site like the club shop also generate money for the club, which were not available on the old site (from memory).

I got Morecambe world free trial a few months ago and I cancelled it through the world website, do I still have to cancel it with my bank?

Too right mate!

Think about it...It's in their interests to say that they didn't receive your instruction to cancel. This would apply to any service you pay for directly via your Bank Account.

It's only when you come to check your statements do you find out that you've parted with some money for something you no longer required. Too few people check their Bank Statements.

Banks have been known to get it wrong....... :o :o :o

If they have set up a direct debit, like Christies Child says the best thing you can do is inform your bank to cancel it.

Even if you have no money in your account, the payment could still be processed. If it is then the transaction will bounce due to insufficient funds available in your account. If this happens, you will more than likely pick up a bank charge of around £30. If this charge results in your account exceeding your overdraft limit, the bank may make a separate charge because of this. Sort of a double whammy!
