You'd probably have to remove Jims head (never mind just cut it) to stop him playing on Monday. The guys been more enormous than ever recently (only playing at Shrewsbury after pain killing injections). He just grits his teeth and gets on with it. A true legend.

Totally agree with burnley shrimp - Jim bentley is true legend on and off the pitch and i would be honoured if he led the team out in our first match at the new stadium as club captain

I was talking to Stanners after Bratfod game and he seemed to think that his injury will keep him out for rest of season, he also seemed a bit unsure about his future, wondering "If Sammy wants me next season"
