not wanting to sound like im whinging BUT surely if whoever is in the suit cant make it to a game cudnt he let someone know and have a deputy stand in....
i felt on friday a little disapointed that there was no show,,bradfords bowler man was having the run of the pitch at half time and before the game, and in what was arguably our biggest game of the season,we should be milking the crowd for all we can??

I disagree.
The cat's personality is what makes the cat. The person behind the suit is the cat, it would have been an obvious imposter.
Long live the one and only Christie The Cat!

Hear hear Mark -- No imposters will be tolerated and as you say most fans would "recognise" a change in character of our famous cat.

Someone could still have done a good job though to be fair.

I'm not so sure - I doubt it is easy as it seems. Christie is excellent as he conveys his emotions without having to say a word, something I suspect many people would struggle with.
Anyone can go round waving their arms and shaking hands, but it is in the mannerisms and the acting that Christie does such a good job.

There's no way they could have imitated him chewing through that fish pie at Macclesfield

The cat's personality is what makes the cat.
Surely it's the cat's catality that makes the cat?
