La Liga play-off rules

Can we get them adopted here now?
Someone just told me that any teams in La Liga that end up level on points, fighting for the last play-off spot, have their fate decided not by goal difference but by the result between those two teams.
So if we managed to end up level with Shrewsbury, Darlo, Chesterfield or D&R, we'd be in (as long as they counted aggregate scores against D&R!!)
(In any case it's ammunition in any 'you don't deserve it' argument from their fans if we DO pip them!)

Good spot that Glen, we are all clutching at those 3 dangling straws at the moment, maybe we could take this up with the Football League? Now that would be a Spanish Inquisition

There are actually two play-off rules in La Liga, the one mentioned by Glen, then goal difference and then who has the nicest kit.

Oh damn. I'll start again.
There are actually three play-off rules in La Liga, the one mentioned by Glen, then goal difference, then who has the nicest kit and then which club's stadium has the comfiest chairs.

Our chief weapon is surprise, surprise and fear, fear and surprise.
Our two weapons are fear and surprise, and ruthless efficiency.
Our three weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency, and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.
Our four, no.
Amongst our weapons.
Amongst our weaponry are such elements as fear, surprise...

May I add that there is the main rule which is "whichever club President can offer the largest bribe to the FA".
As this is my first post, please excuse the flipancy; but living in Spain I could not resist!!

Thanks for that. So there are actually five play-off rules in La Liga, the one mentioned by Glen, then goal difference, then who has the nicest kit, then which club's stadium has the comfiest chairs, then whichever club President can offer the largest bribe to the FA and if you've got the word Real in your name.
So there are actually. No...
Amongst the rules of La Liga there are...

There will be a few players considering moving abroad after that income tax hike yesterday! Some poor souls will be paying £15,000 a week extra in tax and thats before bonuses and advertising deals

Given Michael Owen still lives in Cheshire and flies a helicopter to and from Newcastle, I'm surprised none of the north west Premiership players have realised they could live here and fly back and forth. 14% top rate of tax would make quite a saving on that kind of money!
