Those pasties we had yesterday were very good and not bad price for the size of them. I must be getting slimmer as i only managed 2 this year. Might have to travel a few miles further down the road for them next season. :o

Well, we've nowt to worry about from Bolton, My two mates went last saturday and both said they were shite and one got the sh*ts so all in all, the crusty pie is, unsurprisingly, superior.

It was featured on BBC Breakfast this morning.
The guy in the article was in the studio and said the best pies were at Morecambe FC although he still had Bolton to try.
He is writing a book about the 92 pies and this should be good publicity for the club.
Potts Pies got a good mention on the programme and a lot of praise which must be good for them.
Bill Turnbull (a Wycombe fan) made some patronising remark about the best pies being from a midtable team.

I was told about this by someone at work today. The clip above currently isn't working but may work again later.

I wonder just how many DIFFERENT pies he's had. Pukka pies, for example, can be seen at loads of grounds and Lindley Catering (formerly Stadia Catering) supply 27 grounds in the Premier and Football League, including Bury, Bradford and Macclesfield, as well as more in the Conference and in Scotland.

So despite the fact that he's had 91 pies at the different grounds, he's probably sick of Pukka and Stadia pies, and the small supplier like Morecambe will be a refreshing change.

Notwithstanding all that, it's still a great achievement, and the club should make sure that they milk it for all it's worth. Potts Pies should as well.

well done to the lad
as far as im aware the best was at kilmarnock and the killie pie
they were featured in 442 last season and they look the business but well done Russell at Potts its great publicity for him the company and us pie eaters of morecambe!!!!
shouldnt we have a separate pie stand for the pies opening say 100pm somewhere in the ground as the girls are so busy with pre match hospitality?? just a thought mind you id want peas and gravy so that might not be possible.........

Cockcrofts pies! Wow! I had forgotten about them. One of them off Cockcrofts butchers (he was a proper jolly fat butcher!) down Clarendon Rd and then onto Yorkshire St for a Cream turnover from Craven's! Yum! :D
