Because Birmingham won promotion 1 year after being relegated they don't receive their 2nd years "Parachute" payment and therefore it is being distributed between the 72 League Clubs

Championship clubs receive £400,000 each

League 1 clubs receive £50,000 each

League 2 clubs receive £30,000 each

Hugely disproportionate payments. All part of keeping the cartel(s) in place. :?

Yeah thanks Birmingham, that will do nicely. Maybe Newcastle and West Brom can bounce straight back next season and hand us some more dosh!

Raw deal for lower Leagues

Reading that it would have to be all 3 relegated clubs bouncing back straight away to get the double money - if just 2 get promoted then the Premier League keep it :x
