Nice one Ryan - 21st July 2008

On his way back down south to Lancaster last night, Ryan McCann stopped off at the New Bazaar in the Whitesands to hand over those now famous boots from the Dundee cup-tie. It was the ones he wore when he scored from 84-yards to ensure Queens a memorable 2-0 victory and had promised them for the 'Molly's Wish' fund.

The New Bazaar Doonhamers had put them up for auction and we believe a sum of £275 is already on the table. Both boots are autographed with 84 yards printed on them.

Despite the fact that Ryan is now playing with Morecambe it was good that he kept his word and made a special detour to hand the boots over.

Molly's dad, Mark Armstrong, was delighted when we passed on the good news and although the fund officially closed at the weekend he said that there were still a few donations still to come to add to the figure of £41,000 already raised which will go to the toddler's three treatment centres in Dumfries, Glasgow and Birmingham.
