Scalehall's secretary here
Apart from thumbing a lift to Leeds there is a train from lancaster to Leeds return for £23.60.
The problem will be the times as the first train from Lancaster is 05.53 and the last train back from Leeds is 20.10 - you wont be back from London by then will you?

How about parking your car in Leeds? :x On second thoughts maybe the West Coast line is your best bet :?

Crikey, we're all very sorry.

Cheap Lancaster to London tickets seem to have disappeared. We're trying to get down for a concert in London and currently they only have full price tickets.

No tips to offer I'm afraid. You'd have more luck trying forums like moneysavingexpert where people are experienced in this kind of thing than chancing your arm on a football club messageboard

Virgin Trains are doing special priced tickets from Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston during the week & St Pancras is only a 5 minute walk from there.

( but bookings only available up to 12th August, but is worth checking back later)

An open return to leeds is cheaper than the cheap day return. Work that one out!
