Must be why we why had Jiang Print one season. Mcguigan was always the main shareholder obviously, but a little surprised this other company has that many.

Only a guess but could be the holding / parent company of Jiang Print whose MD attended a couple of Sportsman Dinners and was 'hit' with all those who attended with his constant bowing to one and all. Great character?
A business associate of our Chairman from his Umbro days I seem to recall. On the other hand they may have a Bench connection.
Certainly no mention of the holding in the last Annual Report to shareholders so it's a relatively new holding.

Incidentally, isn't the Shareholders Annual AGM normally held around this time of year CC ?

no
the accounts have to be filed at Companies House with 9 months of the financial year end which is 31 May so filed by 28 February 2011. The AGM is usually a short time after that.

I think you're right there, CC. I seem to remember that we got Jiang Print through a business friend of the Chairman's.

On the other hand they may have a Bench connection.
As long as it wasn't a French Connection.

No doubt it will be confirmed as to who they are at the AGM of Shareholders in the New Year.

This may mean a major change in the running and ownership of our club, once a certain percentage of the total number of share in circulation is reached it must be made public, consequently this why this news is placed in the public domain.
This is a relative small amount in financial terms . but this could the start, of ownership transfer.and existing shareholders may be rubbing there hands or more than likely crying in there beer.

I think that just applies to PLC's and I think the holding needed to launch a takeover is 29.9%
MFC is a private company. I dont think anyone is allowed to purchase shares without the approval of the board so this £150,000 share sale must have been sanctioned and is not a hostile bid.

FFS This is so under the radar, if the chinese are second biggest behind PMG by a shedload, the rest of the suits we see on matchdays own bog all, and PMG probably owns the little hong kong company anyway, it has nothing to do with us customers anyway.

I'm not sure why this has suddenly appeared. Maybe an explanation as to why would have been / would be appropriate.
No explanation leads to speculation but maybe it's intended to be a Christmas puzzle!

All clubs have to reveal their ownership as part of new Football League rules. We are actually one of the last clubs to do it.

As long as he doesn't hold the 1% that gives him a trump card over someone that might have 50%. We would have to get our crash helmets ready for the ride
