Relegation not an issue...

Postby Howe Magic » Sun Sep 21, 2008 5:02 pm

I am probably the most optimistic person on this site (i did say we would get promoted at xmas the season we did) ...... I would just like to make some points about the season so far - i know not everyone will agree with me but thats life NUMBER 1 -If we win at Lincoln next saturday we will have 9 points from 8 games same start as last season (and we finished in top half with poor finish to season) NUMBER 2 - I am sick and tired of hearing people after ten minutes of a game (yesterday for example) moaning that the game is over and the season is going to be over soon they should not even be in the ground in my opinion NUMBER 3 - Yesterday was a poor performance but we still managed to get a point,we will play better this season and get beaten thats for sure NUMBER 4 - Hopefully when we beat Lincoln next saturday there will be as many people on this board getting behind the team as there is when we lose slagging the team off AND FINALLY NUMBER 5 - I have watched the mighty shrimps for 30 years and will watch them whatever league we play in in the future how many people on this board can say that,i would say less than half of them in my opinion

Just been looking at the starting fixtures for the season we got promoted. After 7 games we had 9 points:

Burton (H) 0-1 L
Northwich (A) 2-0 W
Woking (A) 1-1 D
Stevenage (H) 3-3 D
Halifax (A) 1-1 D
Weymouth (H) 2-0 W
Oxford (H) 0-3 L

Some people need to realise that it is early days, I know where id rather be.

Well, I wouldn't watch every game if we got promoted to the Premier League - would never be able to afford it!

Us life season ticket holders would do all-right! :D :D

Well, apart from the fact that most of us are too old to make full advantage of it when that happens, eh Mick? A canny move, those life season tickets. The only people who could afford one were too old to take full advantage and the people who could take full advantage were too young to afford it... And people question the wisdom of our board?

So how did that work out then?
