Looking on Chesterfields website earlier i think they have more to worry about than Roche - they have got injuries and suspensions and also calls for manager to go (they have lost 3 games in a row too)

Yeah they all seem to be wanting to jump in the river! They are even upset cos their Chairman is on a months holiday while he is suppost to be keeping his eye on the ball

What is it with football fans/clubs and their expectations?

It has been said before but we are so very fortunate to have the current regime at Christie Park steering the ship. Strangely somebody mentioned we should play more on the deck. I'm sure we won't be all at sea at the weekend ;)

we must beat chesterfield on saturday, they are one of the weaker teams with injuries and suspensions and have lost 3 games in a row.

I for one will not be happy with another draw.

Maybe we can maintain the record of scoring once, once again but perhaps Roachy could keep a clean sheet. I'd settle for that. A goal for Howe would be nice.

and, in another thread...

the team have got to start picking 3 points at home at least against the weaker teams.

I agree with you, badger, that we should be picking up wins at home if we're going to start moving up the league - everyone wants that. But as far as saying 'we must' beat them and mentioning 'weaker teams', I imagine every one of our opponents is looking on US in precisely that same way.
Against teams near the top, the ones near the bottom may have a more cautious approach. Against us they'll all be 'expecting' to win and will play with that confidence.

Anyway, just a point.

Again, with me: "We WILL beat Chesterfield, we WILL beat Chesterfield....!"
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

"can't muster enthusiasm to go"
"think we shall lose"

Interesting prediction. Is that a half full point or a half empty point?

Front man Jamie Ward, who was suspended for the Brentford game, is available for the trip to the Lancashire coast while central defender Rob Page and midfielder Lloyd Kerry will be out, serving the third of three-match bans.

Shouldn't we be concentrating on our own team rather than worrying who might or might not be playing for the Spireites? :P We need to try and score more than 1 goal so let's attack from the off :)

Yeah we do seem to be too often guilty of either waiting for the other team to score 1st before we start to play, or when we do score 1st we invite pressure on ourselves :?

 Menu for tomorrow - 3 points please 8-)

Would be nice to see a dominant performance for once. Let's get behind the lads from the off.
