Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

I don't think anyone would disagree with the idea. Certainly not the club. It's Stagecoach who you need to convince. What I suggest is that when you have enough members, not to mention signatures from people at the game, you present that to Stagecoach for their consideration. It does cost a lot of money to livery a bus, and don't forget, that any livery promoting Morecambe FC, is livery which doesn't say "Stagecoach" and therefore potentially loses them advertising revenue for them on the side of their buses (Apart from other adverts too they carry too).

Point is, there is lots to consider before it happens, and whilst it's a great idea in my opinion, you have to cover all possible angles. Once you have a sizable member list, and signatories who don't have facebook, take it to the club, and once they've given their support, then take it to Stagecoach. I'm sure Dave Barker, assistant safety officer will point you in the right direction as to who to see. It might be that they also ask for a financial contribution, to take into account cost of livery and lost advertising revenue, so I'd be prepared for that too.

Would be fantastic to see a bus going around the district (and to Preston and Cumbria) promoting the club.

Azz, you were asked nicely and as a new member, that was enough. We have a pretty much zore tollerance towards text speak. You have a keyboard, you are not restricted to how many letters you can use like you are in a text message. Omitting the "yo" from "your" saves you less than half a second but pisses off a lot of us old farts.

So please, keep posting here, just don't use text speak.

So how did that work out then?

Some even have zero tolerance on bad spelling - but I'm not one of them

I can't afford to be with my spelling

Besides, I've got a spell checker ;)

Agreed.

Excellent news people "The Visitor" newspaper have agreed to put an article in either this Wednesday or next Wednesday so please support The Visitor and buy the paper. This is just another step in getting as much coverage about the bus idea as possible.

Thanks for your continued support.

Great news coming through about the bus folks......

Peter McGuigan, who, apparently, was at the game against Gillingham, has said a bus is on its way........................

Just a thought, although this sounds like a great idea, from the councils point of view the Football club is just like any other business in the area and I can't see them paying for what is basically advertising of a business on the side of a bus.

I don't mean to be negative but knowing this council they will have to justify why a local business should get free advertising like this over any other business in the area.

I'm totally behind the idea but I think the club will end up being the ones with the bill.

Although you’re partially right Morecambe plays a crucial part to the community with the schemes the club run....As you know recently the Football in community has made it into the top 3 and may take the top award. Morecambe FC should be recognised by the local people and the council...This is what I intend on using with the council....I do believe we can work with all relevant parties top come to some sort of agreement.

Keep a look out in the visitor for more details.
