ideal pre-match pub for Saturday

ideal pre-match pub for Saturday

Postby sgt major » Thu Oct 23, 2008 1:31 pm

Just been on the landlords grapevine and have the perfect place for a pre-match pint on Saturday.

The Bull's Head in St John's Square, Burslem, ST6 3AJ

The pub belongs to Titanic Brewery (next door) and boasts up to 10 cask ales, scrumpy on tap and a range of imported lagers and Belgium beers.

The landlord, Bob is a very friendly chap and welcomes all away fans. (Just like the York)

With a name like Titanic Brewery I hope it is Port Vale sinking at full time and our band plays on!!!!! ;)

I'll get me lifejacket

Places still available on the Indies coach, leaving the York at 10am. Brekkies from 9.(bookings required)

Do you know if they do food, Mick?
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Just to let everyone know - the amigo reference by Mark is for our Mexican food night and quiz tonight -come along and have a laugh, and book on the coach to Port Vale - we need everyone to drink ALL those pints.

BTW - it is only 10 mins from the pub to the ground -I'm sure there will be somewhere to snack en-route ;)

Aye - full family in tow, though, so need to plan. Cheers.

Don't worry to much about places to eat. Burslem is a bustling corner of Stoke on Trent, i.e It is its own town with shops, pubs, cafes etc etc.

As an exile down here, I can strongly recommend the Bull's Head. I'd go for the Titanic Stout but all their brews are good
