And according to this, Stafford Rangers are in talks with a League 2 striker to loan. Could be one of many.......BUT 'if' Sammy is also after a striker to loan is one of ours going out :?: Just a thought (or rumour starting )

Oh yes and I forgot to mention for those travelling tomorrow. Don't forget to constantly remind Luke Rodgers, Port Vale striker ex-Shrewsbury (and horrible bar steward) of this incident which occured in October 2002. This girl will NEVER EVER be the same again thanks to him.

"The 21-year-old admitted injuring Sarah Morris during a previous appearance at Warwick Crown Court"

Have they no security in courts nowadays?

How many you bringing with you tomorrow. Should be a decent game.
Dont know what sort of crowd to expect for it though as we sold 6,600 season tickets and due to our poor form at the moment only about 5,200 turned up on Tuesday.
Stafford Rangers are after our Kyle Perry who we had from the "mighty" Chasetown last year because our new manager has told him he is no longer in our plans.
Parking at the ground should be no problem, there is a big Co op car park open on matchdays next to the ground which charges £4 and is a 1 minute walk to the ground. There is also a fairly big official car park which also charges £4. There is also plenty of free street parking around the ground.
If your after a drink before, there is an away pub at the bottom of Hamil Road and is very welcoming, got some decent drinks on in there as well.
Have a safe journey and see you all tomorrow. Let us win one at home for a change as well ;)

A fact I never knew:
When Port Vale moved to the new Vale Park in 1950 it was going to have a projected capacity of 70,000 :o however because of financial restraints (somethings never change  ) two grandstands were cancelled (bare in mind the good old days of every ground being mainly standing terraces :!:). The ground was however increased to 50,000 in 1959 but today its capacity is 18,947.

The roof of the away stand was brought from Chester City as well, so if it is raining tomorrow you should thank Chester :D
Vale park has the potential to be a very decent ground at this level of football. If we had the financial backing just to finish off the new lorne street stand it would look a lot better. Appartently, the stand is finished, they just havent got around to filling in the seats. The club said that they wouldnt do this because until we were promoted or had a decent cup run because we dont fill the ground as it is (18,000 seats, as if!). Might just have to write to a certain Mr Williams in LA so he can take time out from watching UFO`s or whatever it is he does and give us a bit of his fortune to finish the stand. In my opinion, it is still a good ground, and has its traditions, unlike them genetic stadiums that are popping up on every industrial estate in the country and look exactly the same as the last one. ;)
A decent atmosphere can be created from all sides of the ground as well and the sound seems to carry and sounds great.
Please dont be put of by the bunch of chavs that congregate in the corner of our stand and attempt to "scare" you, they move ends at half time so they can be at the end of the stand we are shooting towards.
See you tomorrow (If any of this doesnt make sense, I apologise, just got back from the local where i had a few to many pints)
