December 20 - away at Luton

Eric Morecambe fancy dress day-out. Has to be done - start collecting your stuff now, flat caps, macs, pipes etc.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Do you know there's no current record for the largest collection of Eric Morecambes?

Que?

If you mean we should dress up in Christmassy costumes, put some tinsel on your flat cap. The point about this 'Eric' day is that Eric was well known as a fan - and chairman for a while - of Luton Town FC.

They consider him one of theirs, just as we do.

If we get this idea going there is a good chance of getting some good media coverage, possibly nationally.

Uh-huh.

Now all we need is someone in the media who would know the best way to make this happen.

How is everyone getting there?

Do you already have transport sorted?

I'm not sure yet as to how I'm getting, be it mini-bus or coach.

If there were enough interest I would arrange for a coach.

BUMP!

Now an official 'Magic Bus' trip - all as Erics (or they don't get on the bus!).

If you haven't got your gear yet, there's still time - borrow from your grandads or get round those charity shops.

I'll be pre-warning people like Sky sports news and the local Luton media in the next couple of weeks.

Just to let people know about Mick's reaction:

We need a firm commited YES when booking transport well in advance. This gives him time to negotiate a good deal with the coach operator and therefore keeps the cost down to everyone. A tenner to Chester on Saturday was great value.

Unfortunately, as always happens, we get requests from people the night before when we are full up on a mini-bus. Sometimes there have been enough last minute enquiries that would have enabled a larger coach to be booked.

Sadly not all Morecambe supporters want to travel on the same bus therefore leaving a fractured and splintered group of different Morecambe fans going up and down the motorways every other week.
