Am I the only one who thought that it was no way near the 1,647 quoted?

I thought we brought probably 250, then 300 next us first half, 150 on the terrace and 400 opposite making 1,100 max.

I admit to raising an eyebrow when the attendance was given.

Maybe they run a Bradford system, where the automatically count the seaon ticket holders, present or not and add the cash sales.
A couple of home fans did say on their board that they would not be going, perhaps more than a couple were season ticket holders.

Everyone runs the Bradford system. If a club sells 1,000 season tickets for a stand that can hold 4,000 then they can only sell 3,000 tickets on the day whether the season ticket holders turn up or not so the season tickets are counted. It explains why you can have a cup game with more people visibly in the ground than a league game yet the announced attendance is lower.

We were quoted as 312 but it seemed a lot more than that from where I was sitting

Agreed , it did seem as though we had more than 312 there.
People were struggling to find seats.

We had the TV camera above us. They did'nt want us behind the goal as it would have shown that there were actually as many of us at the game as them

There were 3100 at the game last season , albeit a Friday night

Vaughan must have an ulterior motive. Either

How do Huddersfield get lower gates than season tickets sold then?


For example they sold 15,430 as of May 23rd 2008.

Their last home gate in the league saw them post a gate of 11,679.



According to their website they average, this season, 13,365 for home games.

10,719 being their lowest against Yeovil.
