'Like a scene from the 1980's' O/T

At first I thought Mark Lawrenson was refering to Tim Sherwood's Gilet. He was actually talking about the pitch invasion from Villa fans during and after their FA Cup victory over WBA. Other senasationalist comments were also made from the BBC team. The safety of the players is always the main concern when fans enter the pitch, but it was very clear that these fans weren't interested in trouble. There were mini invasions after both goals and a much larger one after the final whistle. The BBC team were quick to slate the Villa fans. I think the commentator went as far as saying the fans had 'completely ruined Sherwood's day'. Yet just 4 months earlier the BBC revelled in the 'romance' of the cup when Warrington fans not only pitch invaded but also let off flares following their victory over Exeter. I enjoyed watching fans of a side that are part of the Premier League brand celebrating the prospect of a trip to Wembley with the same excitement as a lower league club.
