Player of the Season

Postby Shrimps Trust » Sat Apr 18, 2015 10:03 am

There should be a voting table outside the ground before Kick Off, Please try to vote, Also if we can there will be someone with slips and a box inside the ground at Half Time. Also upstairs.

We like to see the game as well so please vote before or at half time. Thanks ;)

Voting slips should have been handed out at the turnstyles last week for people to return today....or is that a bit too difficult...... :? :? :?

Yes. Too late.

If Beeley doesn't win then there's something wrong in the world.

That was the Plan, not sure why it was changed, I've been a bit busy and ill this last week. There was someone walking up and down during the 1st half with slips and box.

Good idea CC. Although how often do we have consecutive home games this late in the season?

The AGM is coming up soon and we are always looking for fresh faces

We need people who can come up with great ideas and suggestions

Our committee do try hard to get things right, some time we could do with a little more help from our members but we don't like to pester people. We had a lot of voters today and we still managed to miss a few, with you help (referring to everyone) we could have reached those who we unfortunately missed.

As for the table out the front, we can only apologise - committee members were doing a 101 things today and this was overlooked, although we were in the fans' bar before and after the match.

I and 5 friends and family stood on the northern terrace and none of us saw a slip for player of the season, although there was one f-com gent selling raffle tickets. Never go to the canteen so didn't see any slips there. Not the first time i've not been able to cast a vote. As i rarely frequent the bar i missed that opportunity too. 101 things to do? fair enough but try 102 and do something like mingle on the terraces once in a while and perhaps forego a pint now and then! I know you mean well but so many fans don't come on here or go in the bar so they miss out on any opportunity. A bit of future planning next season might be a good idea. Ask the club if the programme sellers can help at least with the slips. Oops an idea

Well unfortunately he didn't say that when he stood by us for a couple of minutes!! Only appeared to have green raffle tickets in his hands too. No big deal as i/m used to not voting for players nowadays

We were looking out for the table outside, and then inside the PMG stand we looked around for someone handing them out, but saw no-one. We even asked a steward, but he hadn't a clue where to find them either. So, we didn't get to vote either.

Again our apologies, we won't bombard you with excuses but I would like to say that the 101 does include non MFC related challenges.

We thank you for your feedback and next season we hope not to be thin on the ground and have a larger committee therefor we will be better organised and we intend to reach those who don't use shrimpsvoices, facebook, twitter or have the internet for that matter.

If anyone reading this, thinks that they could be apart of FCoM as a committee member next season, all you need to do is come along to our AGM and put your name forward to be part of the committee.

Our committee does a good job, but with you and your ideas - we may be better.

Sounds like it was abit of a cock up Saturday then ? Can anyone clarify when it will be announced an what awards are getting giving out this year. Is there just a fans player of the year or a players one too ? Will we do a young player of the year this season even tho there isn't many ?

Next year I will completely sacrifice my whole match day to find out all those who refuse to alter theirs in the slightest. NOT
