O/T Released players elsewhere

Postby Christies Child » Tue May 05, 2015 3:50 pm

Wouldn't mind us having a look at Jonathan Stead ex Rovers and now released by Huddersfield but wages could be a major problem.... with Bradford probably his likely destination following his recent loan there.

Scott Loach former loanee goalkeeper has been released by Rotherham.

One that shows ambition but as I've already suggested, wages COULD be a problem BUT he is 32 going on 33....

Sheffield Wednesday released ex Burton player Jacques Maghoma. Descent player when he played for Burton but wages may be problem. Also Jimmy Phillips looks another quality player who has been released today by Burton.

"One that shows ambition"

Good god.

If I were to go and buy a car I cannot afford, am I fucking stupid threatening the finances of the family or am I showing ambition that I might win the lottery this year to pay for it.

I'd love to live in CC world for a week, I really would.

Hopefully CC's flights of fancy can be kept confined to this thread post season, rather than starting a new thread for every released player we'll never sign.

David De Gea is coming to the end of his contract. Might be able to get him in and sell him on, undervalued at Manchester United.

Raheem Sterling too.

Would love to see someone like Febian Brandy atthe club. He is still young, has good pace and a good eye for goal. Hasn't had a regular run of games up front for a while, but given the right support could tear apart defences at L2 level.

Seem to think he also played alongside some pretty good players in his England youth days.

If we are after strengthening our defence Marc Roberts of AFC Halifax may be worth looking at if we are not in a queue. Seems a quality Centre back & currently out of contract.

Fleetwood Town have released 14 players !

Some that may or may not be of interest to Jim.

Released include Mark Roberts , Steven Schumacher and David Ball.

Apparently Pilley is cutting back on the big wages and developing youth.

Not surprising after a £1.9m loss recently reported, which is after a £1.3m donation from Pilley.

Schumacher ticks a few boxes (mainly being scouse).

Reality hits at last.....Can't say I'm surprised. Next it will be Pilley's Energy business that's in trouble. :?: :?: :?:

Only reason for posting this one is that Jimbo was after Wes Fletcher when he left Burnely 2 seasons ago but now he's been released from York. Good record of goals albeit mostly in Burnley Reserves but appears to have suffered from injuries at York.

Just hope that Jimbo doesn't go for released centre back Mark Roberts at Fleetwood as a possible Hughes replacement. He's had a series of leg injuries this season which their fans suggest could be career threatening.

Just announced on Sky sports that Aaron Wildig will not be offered a new contract by the Shrews.
