Jacks Money

Jim says he's not in any rush to spend the transfer money on a replacement, don't really agree with this. If don't move it all the talent will be snapped up by the opposition.

It is nice to know that there is some transfer money there to be spent!

It might be too late already as by the sounds of it a few of the targets Jim had in mind have now signed for other clubs. Could really have done with selling Jack a month ago so we would have had a bigger pool of players to pick from.

Should the thread title not be PMG's money?

Surely we are looking to sign a striker as we look very short in that department? Might we regret releasing Podge? Now that Jack has gone imo the squad would be stronger with Podge in it. We have boosted midfield but we still need players to put the chances away.

Where does he say this? All I can see is him saying he is in no rush to replace Jack. Nothing about spending money.

Jim was on Radio Lancashire this morning saying he's sitting down with PMG today to discuss the (possible) financing of a new striker and the resolving of the reserve 'keeper situation.

If that doesn't work maybe we could get a bail out from the ECB?

It was quite evident from last nights performance that we need an out and out striker to replace Jack and Padraig as between them they scored over 20 goals last season.

I just hope that the Directors present acknowledged that need although maybe the need to replace the Ground Sponsor is of greater priority in the mind of the Director(s) concerned.

Maybe an approach to EDF at the power station...... :?: :?: :?:

Presumably you are in possession of the names of the companies the club have approached with regards to ground sponsorship to be able to make a comment such as this?

I hope that the club can re-sign Stav IF extra money is given to Jimbo. We'd be hard pushed to find an experienced League 2 goalkeeper who lives locally.

I think given that barry was not fully recovered when we let stav go the manager had his reasons for doing so,I also think CC maks a valid point about the globe arena sponsorship being a major issue, and as far as I can see a good striker is a must, ASAP.

Signing Andreaus and a striker would be a real statement of intent.
