O/T Microsoft 10

O/T Microsoft 10

Postby Christies Child » Fri Jun 05, 2015 12:22 pm

No doubt like a lot of you I've received details of a free upgrade to Microsoft 10.

My info is that for users of 8 it will be a real pain to upgrade what with learning the new system etc.

However for existing 7 users like me the upgrade will not be that difficult. However I've been advised to wait until Autumn by which time all the bugs should have been resolved. It's also been pointed out to me that 7 users who use their PCs etc for everyday stuff that the benefits of 10 will be negligible and therefore I, for one, will be sticking with what I know and to date has been more than adequate.

CC not upgrading to Microsoft 10 shows a complete lack of ambition.

From the testing I have done so far, 10 looks very good indeed.
Users of both 7 & 8 will have no problems moving to 10 as it combines both interfaces to good effect.
If you upgrade to 10 it will not delete your existing operating system, and you can do a full rollback whenever you want. I've installed and successfully removed it from several different types of hardware.

Well Neil, you have taken pointlessness to another level, asking questions about something you have no intention of ever using, can we now expect to be answering things like, whats it like in new zealand, the spaghetti house, toys are us, and a thousand other places you are never going to?

whats the new kylie minogue album like, has anyone seen bob the builder in 3d etc.

A few more minutes and I'll be upgrading to 10. Couldn't be bothered waiting for the background process to grab it some time over the next few weeks so forced the download and away we go. This might be my last post

Good luck to anyone going for it. I'm on 9 which is better than 8. Any reviews would be gratefully received. I'm sticking with 9 for now.

Different operating systems on different platforms. Windows 10 could be interesting with its continuum feature. Leave a pc half way through editing a document and open your tablet at the place you left off.

Woohoo, I'm really on the edge. No problems, not too different to W8. Time for another beer.

Keith, there's barely enough room to stick a 5 1/4" floppy in that!
