if u carnt see this then support rovers they need u more than we do!!!!

I can't see this but I'm not going to support rovers. Success on the pitch will bring in the fans, agreed, but that's only part of what can be done. Only during the football season, Christie Park earns money 1 day a fortnight, weather permitting. The other 13 days it's doing nothing but more importantly it's not bringing in revenue 13 days out of every 14.

This wage cap rule is based on revenue, that includes any money the club can get and not just fans through the turnstile once a fortnight. A new ground will have conference and meeting facilities which means it could be used and bring in money 7 days a week. Having a food outlet and hotel in the grounds will bring in regular rent. All this money goes into the club funds and into the wage cap caculation. It makes the ground somewhere locals might go to on a regular basis but not for the football. If they like the facilities, they could become supporters.

It's all part of making the club more than just a once-a-fortnight place to go.
