In Jim's interview, he said that the players who've been out through injury or suspension would have to fight for their places. Then what does he do? Brings them all straight in! Some very dubious decisions as to starting squad and subs today.

The baby hooligans behind the goal should have been removed much earlier, they were an embarrassing disgrace. The Irish steward tried to reason with them but he was wasting his time, they don't collectively posses enough brain cells to understand reason!

Beaten by a better team today. All this talk about play offs is premature. Let's get real and look to secure safety for now.

Defensively I thought we looked very poor today unable to deal with Northampton's crosses. Keeper and defenders don't seem able to command the penalty area and I think Northampton came knowing that, putting in crosses at every opportunity I remain unconvinced that we are playing our best line up. Every time Mullen comes on we look a better team.

Why did Ellison start today ,more importantly why was he still on the pitch at the end of the game. Absolute waste of space , far better coming on for the last 20minutes or so . Sorry Jimbo wrong decision there today :(

Absolutely astonished that Parrish wasn't brought on, considering how much of a weak link our whole back line was!

Agree about Kev. Should have been subbed instead of Goody IMHO.

Willow wasn't with it at all today.

Aaron McGowan's pace was missed too.

I was surprised that neither Moly or Mullin were in the starting line-up.

Can't believe people criticising Kev!!
Their keeper made a fingertip save from him in the first half. Then a defender cleared his header off the line, all before they scored! Our second goal came from a corner after Kev had an attempted chip over the the keeper from the edge of the penalty area. On another day he would probably have had a hat trick. Awful performance from our defence, too much hoof ball to their giant centrebacks for me today. Their defence had a nice easy training session today against our hopeless tactics. This was JB tightening up our defence! Never thought i would see our own supporters fighting each other on the terraces. For whatever reasons disgraceful. A dark day on and off the pitch

Trouble today was that with Kev playing as central striker, too many of the team resorted to the old "hoof ball" up to Kev, who was far too often off-side and too often missed the headers sent to him. It was utterly predictable from us - pass across to Beeley who ran a bit and then chipped it into Kev. Same with other players who have clearly forgotten the last few cracking matches and gone back to the "hoof it forward" mentality.

Where was the accurate ground passing that has given us some good wins - we were back to our bad old ways today. Unfathomable why Mullin and Moly didn't get a start - when they came on, we were a different team and the fluent cohesive game started, but it was too little too late.

MOTM today for me was Barky. Willow and Beeley should have been allowed a little more time to rest/recover as neither were on form today. I am first to admit, I criticised Flemmo in the past, but this season he's really changed for the better and was on cracking form again today!

It was far too easy for Northampton today. I can only assume that Jim opted for Kev because of Ryan Creswell being in their back line. All it did was play in to their hands and once again, Creswell was made to look like the next Franco Baresi! Northampton knew that Kev couldn't out pace their back line so they squeezed up to the half way line and didn't allow us to play. Gone was the fast, passing game we were starting to get excited about and back came the ordinary hoof ball!

Kev and Willo were well below par but Tom B and Beels continue to shine! Wildig is just a class above but gets lost when we play like we did today! Bring back the pace and movement please Jim!

Sad scenes towards the end of the game but to see people rushing their kids out of harms way at a Morecambe game is as low as the club can let it get. Act now and ban all these scumbags before anymore damage is done!

I have bad vibes from yesterday's game, I feel that could be our Mansfield moment of the season where we changed a wining side, and had better players fitter and in better form on the bench
O'Hara McGowan Molyneux Mullin Miller Ryan Parrish
i hope Jim does not start setting teams up, by using parking the bus and over defensive tactics. :|

Kev get suspended, we start playing fast flowing football on the deck.
Kev returns and we go back to hoofing the ball up to Kev and two giant defenders.

I don't know if it was by design or if it is because we panic when under pressure and look to a long ball when Kev presents it as an option? But it resulted in our midfield being largely bypassed, their defence having a bread & butter day and our defence being very poor.

I know it has been a poor game when we concede four but my man of the match was Barry. But for him being in such good form, it could easily have been 2-7.

My preferred central pairing would Parrish & Edwards. And I'd be starting Kev on the bench to mix things up after about 70 minutes. Get the ball back on the deck and run at players again.

Awful game, which was made worse by talking to a long term fan who said he wouldn't be bringing his son again after what happened with the morons in the stand. Someone said the reason they weren't banned ages ago is because of the revenue they provide. Well if that is true, the club will now need to start counting the revenue they are losing elsewhere. Instead of dealing with them after (for example) the Accrington away match a couple of seasons ago, they've ruined our once proud reputation. At Hartlepool they had extra stewards on because they'd heard about our trouble makers. Now the club will be forced to respond, how they do so and whether it is enough for families to feel safe returning, remains to be seen.

My thoughts exactly, having built on our midfield over the past weeks..

Spoke to a guy walking to the game who said "havn't been for ages, only been twice, but they are doing well aren't they and scoring lots of goals" - "watch me put the kibosh on it (lol)"

Never a truer word spoken :(

More than 1 Cobbler disagrees

"Roche has made some excellent saves by the sounds of it, stopping it from being 10!"

Could not understand why Beely/Wilson both played, when recovering from injuries and relying on Dugdale, who is not the fastest.Wilson was definitly not with it at all and should have been replaced after the first 10 minutes. What was wrong with Parrish,he seemed to be fit.Lots of sunshine but no hay.

Like I also alluded to on the (rightly) locked brawl thread, I heard a few mention they wouldn't be coming again after this awful, embarrassing episode.

It needs sorting.

At one point Roche made a double save when they were 3v1 with him it was incredible and then 2 mins later he came to the rescue again it could have been a cricket score if it wasn't for him.

Kev is noticeably slower this year he chassed a 50/50 ball over near the berlin wall and he got nowhere near it, in the past he would have easily got there.

When did the trouble happen was it near then end of the game? I left when the 4th went in to pick my little lad up and didn't see anything up until then. Good job I didn't bring him with me and stand in our usual place in the Omega stand, it does put you off a bit.

Shortly after we scored our 2nd goal.

I didn't hear a Man of the Match award.

Hard to think who it could be if it wasn't Barry Roche.

Anyone know ?

Jamie Devitt, he wasn't on the pitch when it was announced, the 4th had just gone in and the trouble started, so not surprised it was missed by some
