1-3

We've had no luck. Robbed by the sound of it.

"We've played really, really well"
"Over ninety minutes we've been the better side"
"They were slightly the better side in the first half but we've been the better side in the second"
"We deserve at least a point, if not more"
"You'd have to be here to see that we've played well"
"I've seen us play worse than this and win"

only in spells though.

far to many hit and hope balls what were bread n butter for there taller defenders.

dont think Edwards and Dugdale are aggressive enough attacking the ball for central defenders, like i said after the last home game, Edwards could have done better with their 1st goal.

we miss Hughes he was a good stopper, and through his body on the line. even though he was an hothead.

a few positives, mainly Molly, he looks the best L/B at the moment, good on the ball.

Wow. Think I was watching a different game completely?

The defending for all the goals was absolutely abysmal. Edwards allowed them to have a free header for the first - they didn't even need to jump. Our set pieces are absolutely atrocious, and we can't defend against them either.

Taking Mullin off was ridiculous, I hope it was enforced? We could barely string 2 passes together in the final third, but obviously we are experts at passing it around in our own box when we are behind in a game. I wonder why?

Tactically clueless, we resorted to last years tactics of throwing all our attacking players on the pitch in any formation possible and hoping that we might nick an equaliser. We didn't. Miller didn't touch the ball, Kev did nothing except the offside goal, Devitt was terrible in the few touches he had.

Awful game of football, and didn't enjoy the evening at all. No surprise then that we barely had 1,100 home fans. If we can't even defend basic corners, we can forget about having play off aspirations and just pray we get 50 points to stay in the league.

It's funny how people view a game over 90 minutes. I thought the first half definitely belonged to luton their ball retention was far better than ours as well as their movement and speed of passing. Plus they worked much harder closing down the space and we seemed over run in midfield.

Second half we bossed 90% of the game and started playing the ball to feet rather than playing hoof ball which lutons defense mopped up with ease. A draw would have been a fair result over 90 minutes. Thought Devitt made a difference and in general the passing was more forward thinking and crisper frim us in the 2nd half. Defense looks very dodgy still especially at set pieces.

What happened to our attacking game? Quick forward movements and shots at goal?? Oh that's right the manager thought we were conceding too many goals so "tightened up at the back"! Our game has gone to pot now. I feel sorry for Parrish tonight he was all over the place. Started on the left of a back 3, then went to right back in a back 4, and ended up as left back!! Blimey! Ended the game with a 6-0-4 formation and the forwards hardly getting a sniff of the ball. It's going to be another long season getting to 50 points i fear.
Don't worry be happy!

Paz played in three positions during the game, our new "number 10" is our best left back and horrible to see the four forwards chucked on tactic again.

Our biggest goal threat was hooked after 45 mins and the bloke with the most assists was sat on the bench for 70 minutes. There may be reasons for this that we don't know about but from the terraces it looks like another season of rubbish home form.

Don't think it was, shinnanninnigins at the end of the game, John Still bollocking his backroom staff big style and Kenny having a go at nearly everyone.
No trophy presentation from what I saw.
May be we hoped they would forget about it

No shape to the team at all. It was a re-run of the Cobblers game.

Look back at the period of the season when we actually won games and played good football. Goodall and Devitt were both in the team. Play your best team Jim

Can't agree with Freeze at all. Thought the first half we had a good game on our hands, very open with chances a plenty for both sides; should've been 2-2 as Paz could only 'air-head' when completely unmarked and 5 yards from goal.

Second half Luton sat back and we played sideways and lacked and creativity to open them up.

Our tactics from the beginning was to hit them on the break; it's a good tactic as we have pace in the team. But the tactic falls apart when you can't defend set pieces and concede the first goal.

Personally I don't want to see three CB at home as it looks and is a bit negative. I can't understand why we've put Parrish in alongside Edwards and Dugdale when the laters kept a clean-sheet at Oxford?

Yep as I said somewhere else we have pretty much lost the plot now imo.
Shame after our normal decent start.

3 at the back ? We might have 5 after Bristol winning 3.0 at Hartlepool

Think I was at the same game as Jack :( . There was a neutral Chelsea fan watching the game who came into the bar and commented that we lost that game in midfield as we didn't have one and I have to agree to a certain extent as Goodall's absence was a big loss and Wildig is not having the influence he was a few weeks ago.

Don't see the reason to change the system after the performance from Saturday against another top team away from home. Showed Luton far too much respect tonight I think. It's not looking good at the minute but I think once we get a steady back four playing a good few games together then things will change after the suspensions an injuries we've had. Beeley an Edwards haven't been as good as they was last season who were two of our best players but this time last year we were on similar points so no need to panic just yet. Jim also needs to decide who's guna be our main striker. Miller looked great in the games he started from what I seen. No good swapping am changing the team and system every couple games !

He really enjoyed today, spoke to Jim who made him really welcome when the shop was shut and from the Hurley Flyer onwards got blown away at the L2 football experience making a real impression with our local Spurs fans

Understood his footy though, while on vacation with his wife from Morecambe.

He cant make Wimbledon but probably meet up in Stratford at the Leyton game :D

Was guna say this after the Northampton game but thought the whole forum would disagree as he's abit of a fans favourite. Had a couple of good games and a good pre season but just hasn't done it for me since the accy game. Hope to see him back at his best soon along with a number of other players who are capable of a lot more !
