Is it time we recalled him from his loan and gave him a run in the side? Don't think Dugdale is good enough. In the games he's played for us, Doyle has impressed me. Time we give Doyle a chance. Discuss...

All for giving Doyle a chance, but I think Dugdale has done well personally. Actually the only time I read or hear negative things about him it's on here. For me Parrish is the CB struggling for minutes this season with what we have in the squad; perhaps not a popular opinion given he's been a long serving player and many fancied him as captain... But the way I see things currently.

Don't think a kid who's playing two leagues below is guna be the answer to marking the top centre forwards at this level  and certainly not in a struggling team either ! We haven't had a steady back four all season due to injuries and suspensions even tho it's not an excuse for the poor goals we've been conceding. Not a fan of Dugdale if am honest and would much prefer Paz in before him any day. Also Edwards an Beely haven't hit the heights they did last season but it's still early days theyll get better no doubt very soon, no need to panic just yet !

Probably Luton are even more offensive ?

Loved it when we were frightening the opposition rather than us worrying about them :( :(

In terms of ability & quality, I don't think there is much difference between Edwards, Dugdale & Parrish. But I think Edwards & Parrish were developing a better communication with each other when they played regularly, so for me, they would be my first choice pairing in the centre.

So how did that work out then?

My opinion may be a minority one but I think we let our best Centre Half leave when Hughes was not offered a new contract.

What's happened to the team that played so well against Walsall a few weeks back :?:

Well I don't suppose Stevenage's poor form is down to one player.

All I know is that our defence last year was much harder to breach than it has been up to now.

It was indeed. But it wasn't till round the new year time the defence really went on a run of keeping consecutive clean sheets. The team was on similar form this time last year so hopefully the defence will tighten up and stop leaking the goals in

He has tweeted today that his loan at Chorley has finished.

He signed off with another goal.

should keep Doyle for now and lets see how he's developed , let somebody else have a turn send Dugdale out on loan instead.

Agree with this, we haven't had a centre half on the bench for the past few weeks now. Better to keep him in the squad till after the new year with the heavy pile of fixtures upcoming even if he gets no game time, better to have a replacement than play someone out of position !
