He'll have his bad games, or periods within games that he's not having a impact... But you can't leave talent like that on the bench. He is a winner, puts a shift in and raises the performances of other people around him. Immediate lift when he came on today, hope he starts at Bury on Tuesday.

John Coleman would get 30-40 goals a season from a front two pairing of Mullin and Barky. Unless Mullin is carrying some sort of injury or if Jimbo's computer says the lad is tired, he looks like he is fourth choice striker after today's game. Barky should be through the middle and not stuck on the wing or inside right or whatever they call it these days. He is a number 9 with Mullers playing just off him.

I can't see him sticking around and will join the growing list of players not good enough for Morecambe but do well at other clubs!

Playing regularly against Morecambe in the bottom tier of English professional football does not constitute going on to bigger and better things.

The only player I can think of who could even remotely fall into this category is David Perkins, and even then it's debateable as it was a falling out with the management that lead to his departure for a nominal fee, not his ability.

Would help if you read the question/statement properly Glagys. Both Baker and Duffy were sold by the club for fees when suitable offerers were received and the players wanted to go and progress their careers. Neither was sold because they weren't good enough to play for MFC.

Duffy was not a regular starter before he left nor was he well liked by the majority of the fans. Burrows and Podge have both "done well" for their new respective teams albeit at a marginally lower level. Hughes was slated on here for his performances and his behaviour , released by the club but snapped up and made captain by Stevenage.

Mullin would be able to play and gain confidence under a more attack minded manager rather than playing 2-3 games and then being binned to the bench for the next 3-4 games. Saw Graeme Sharp being interviewed the other day. He said Lineker only trained on a Friday and still managed to score for fun on a Saturday. Turn the computer off Jim and let the boys in form play!

I wouldn't exactly say the loss of Jordan Burrow, Mark Hughes and Padraig Amond has been devastating to our club. I'd possibly have Podge back as a squad player given our lack of out and out strikers but the other two wouldn't offer us anything we need.

Oh I agree that Mullin needs to start though. Jim will say 'he's a young lad', 'he's still learning', 'he needs looking after' etc but the fact is he's our best striker and we're a weaker team without him.

11 goals in 3 games against us at home suggests we might be missing Mark Hughes. I think Dugdale is just a cheaper option and not as good a defender as Hughes. People were accusing Hughes of being a bully last season but at least our new leaky defence is nice and polite!
