What did you think at the time?

That Saddam Hussein had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with 9/11.

I actually said for a long time before 9/11 that we should have lifted sanctions years earlier. Had we done so, we *might* have seen the population raising up against Saddam. We crapped all over the Marsh Arabs after Gulf War 1, when they expected the west to support them ('cause we told them we would) but we left them for the psychopath to drain the marshes and set fire to them and the people within.

We sold arms to both sides in the Iran/Iraq war leading to about 1,000,000 dead. We over-threw the original elected government in Iran because the Iranian people dared to elect a government that 'we' didn't like. You'd think by now we'd have learned to keep our noses out?

So how did that work out then?

we got it badly wrong in Iraq 2nd time round, lead right up the garden path.

for me what Iraq could do with right now to keep law and order, is have somebody in power like a nutcase who people are shit scared of and daren't step out of line, ending the cival war.

the irony

Tony is obviously racked with guilt, given tony's frank admission, I think he should now go to the hague ,and request that they charge him as a war criminal, then he can die with a clear conscience.

I keep reading about 'colossal reparations'.

Wouldn't it be fitting that every penny and cent the War Criminal Bliar and the War Criminal Bush have made since the illegal invasion of Iraq should be seized and used as part of the reparation payments.

This should include the assets of both criminals. Once this has been done then both these criminals should be tried for illegal invasion of a sovereign country, causing the deaths of thousands of civilians, needlessly causing deaths of Military personnel, and of course lying through their teeth to the public.

Both these politicians have unashamedly lied to all and sundry, and it's disgusting that they've made millions since then.

And what a fine job Mr Bliar did as the Middle East Peace Envoy ...

Then there's their advisers and Inner Circle. Don't let them get off the hook either.
