Morecambe & Crystal Palace home/away form

Morecambe & Crystal Palace home/away form

Crystal Palace, and their home & away form in the past 18 months is similar to ours.

They are a top 3 side in the premier league on away form, and like us the fans find it frustrating.

Palace fans on their forum, some are putting their poor home form down to these factors

1) saying that the pith is to narrow and does not suit their style of play using wingers like speed demons(Bolesie, Sako, Punchion, Zaha). to go around defences.

2) saying the fans are to nice, and playing at home is to pressure friendly, and players dont get flack for not putting in a 100% shift.

intresting points! dont know the FL rules regarding the pitch size, but we dont play with wingers( just fullbacks providing width) or give players flack, for not putting in a 100% shift.

Here's the rules on pitch dimensions...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 200666.stm

The size of Morecambe pitch is v.similar to Palace's. Morecambe's pitch dimensions are 110 x 76 yards...

And Crystal Palace's 110 x 74 yards...

Is our practice ground pitch the same dimensions as The Globe?

A few weeks ago there was an excellent article on the bbc football site about counter attacking football and how many teams are now set up to play that way it mentioned Palace West Ham and Leicester and they all had better records away from home in fact when the article was written there had actually been more away wins in the premier league this season than home ones up to that point so we are not alone in struggling to find a way to play at home that will get us the points.
