Turn it into a positive. Put another free game on.
The boards Christmas gift to the fans.
Entertainment in the ground. Throw in some mulled wine stands.

It may be worth trying that, especially if we can regain our home form/are still in or around the play-offs. Make it a 'Christmas Cracker' with carol singers etc.

Yes there is no point moaning about something out of our control.
Turn it into an opportunity to do something positive for the club and the fans.

Does that mean a Cup replay would be off as well

Presume it is just the weekend that is 'international' but don't know. Let's hope it isn't. Playing D&R at home twice midweek within a week or two would be painful! Perhaps we could double up? Agree before hand that the score will count for both competitions!!! :-)

If the second round is 5th December and Dagenham's internationals mean we can't play on 17th Nov, the FA Cup replay will have to be 1st Dec? League game would then have to be later in Dec.

Whenever the replay is surely its got to be £5 adults and free for kids otherwise the crowd could be less than the 900 there today

If you can't postpone FA Cup games due to international call ups, get the FA to set the replay to next Saturday and the League match on the replay date. Sorted! :D

so playing them twice on cold,, I assume Nov/Dec Tuesdays, I really hate going to games in the cold wet weather anyway, I hope that the cup game is heavily discounted or it will be a very low attendance won't it.....still at least we are still in the draw...along with Altringham...doh

Doesn't there have to be more than a week between 1st match and replay ?

Maybe if there's no minnow v giant replays that Morecambe v Dog and Duck is on the TV

So how come that's unchanged when these 2 lads will still be on international duty? Bizarre...

Farcical that Daggers can get a league game called off for internationals but not a cup game even though the same three lads will be missing ??
Another joke from the FA

Surely that is the risk you take by having foreign players in your squad.

Not having this rule would encourage teams to use more home grown talent.

They should be made to get on with it.

Tin pot!
A club gets league games put back because it loses players due to 'call ups'
What happens if those players get injured during their 'call up?'
Do their club games get postponed until the 'called up' are fit again?
Of course not.
Tin pot!
No wonder attendances are declining.

Indeed you do.

Something else which makes modern football crap.

Not that long ago, if you drew on the Saturday you replayed on the Tuesday.

Police insisted on this ludicrous 10 day rule.

Farcical.

What exactly are you blaming the Police for? Do they have any control over the call-up of club players for international duties, and the consequences of those call-ups' on imminent club matches?

As above.

I'm referring to the stupid rule the police insisted on for FA Cup replays in that 10 days must elapse between the first game and the replay.

What should be the rule?
The players in question have been called up as from now for international duties. They're out of bounds, as are any games their clubs are due to play I the interim.
Who's Tin pot rules? Not the Police surely?

ASIDE from International Call Ups......

As of roughly 10 years ago (?) - FA Cup replays can only take place 10 days after the first game.

Stipulated by the police, to the FA, to give them time to organise their force.

Organise their force - why?
10 years ago, law-and-order might have been an issue under Bliar and Brown at a football match, but surely not now?
