Shrimps fan Lee Westbury tragically died on Saturday morning aged 29.
Our thoughts are with his family
As a mark of respect I would ask all Shrimps fans to hold a minutes applause in the 29th minute.

thankyou

This is obviously a sad time for his family but i personally dont like the trend for applause on certain minutes maybe something before the game.

Also this same post is on the man city page

Don't know who Lee was but he's been a part of the Shrimps community and deserves better than a certain message posted above.

RIP fellow Shrimp.

I didn't know Lee but I will certainly be joining in with the applause in the 29th minute for "one of our own".

RIP :(

Whats wrong with what i wrote did i say he shouldnt be honoured with applause why not do it before the match.

Like i said its obviously a tough time for the family. This is an open forum and im entitled to my opinion and my opinion is that i dont like random applause for people during matches i think it should be done before the match with an announcemet . What happens if dagenham score in the 29th minute will the applause still happen

I dont know the lad, my sympathy goes out to his family, and also to the driver of the vehicle too ,and his family who have this burden to deal with as well, through no fault of their own.
