In the cold light of day .....

Postby bill ding » Wed Nov 18, 2015 8:19 am

And i have had time to mull over the previous nights game i usually just shrug my shoulders and get on with the day . This mornings different i still feel p**sed off about what i saw last night , it feels like we have reached an all time low ,best chance of a cup run gone, extra revenue gone, feel good factor gone, any chance of casual supporters returning probably gone.
Still waiting for Mr Bentleys interview to see what excuses can be dredged up, he certainly cant blame the usual fine line.

I'm also seriously pissed off. So disappointing! Why are we so bad at the Glob?!

At least I can take solace in having seen the halcian days at Christie when we battled a memorable FA Cup win against Cambridge Utd.

Even the most optimistic of fans must realise that at best, we have a struggle ahead, and that lack of communication/ activity from the top of the club doesn't give much cause for hope in the near future, Due to his extended contract ,Jim will not be going anywhere soon, and you cannot blame him for that, so more of the same is on the cards, my personal opinion is that a new owner, rather than a new manager is needed , but that will not happen as no one even wants to sponsor the stadium, let alone buy it.

Agreed. ^ ^ ^ ^

Not wanting to start the whole "Globe Arena" experience debate again :? , but we have:

a) a ground with no "sponsor" (Accrington always secure seemingly good deals? As do Kendal Town?),
b) a seemingly bum steer connection (loosely, very loosely speaking) with Shanghai Clever ("more news will be announced soon" - am so glad I didn't hold my breath. Wish we could get those bloody Chinese sign boards REMOVED from around the pitch. They are embarrassing now.)
c) and little things FFS like only HALF of the club badge being illuminated on the front of the Main Stand because nobody has noticed a couple of bulbs have gone and need changing!! Or, is it a case of "just leave it"??

Little things like that just serve to annoy.

There's not been this much anger on the forum since, ooooh, FA Cup 1st Round defeats in recent years to Northwich Victoria and Dover Athletic.

Light, what light?

As for the bulbs, probably have to be qualified to climb a ladder that high, meanwhile the mountain on the pitchside looks more and more out of reach

Never posted on here before but, after last nights lack of performance I feel I needed to. I Like the climbing a ladder bit, it seems we can only climb half way up like the league, start off with good intentions but then get scared of heights! Perhaps we need to start shooting at the goal instead of trying to walk the ball into the net, they do it in warm-up so WHY not in the game?

If we were not ready to take pot shots last night , 2 up with a gale force wind behind us, then we never will be.
