In case people didn't know, he's fighting on the Crolla/Perez card for his English Title next Saturday in Manchester.

If he's available, get him to do the draw at half time at the Dagenham match? He's one of our own after all.

He's been down to the Globe a couple of times - he's a fan (and Newcastle United I believe) and wears Shrimps badge on his shorts. I think Ken has done some sparring with him!

Isaac Lowe Trains with Ken Mckenna

When are we getting the modern day Ali down to the Globe?

Whenever he gets invited I'd imagine.

He's very pro-Morecambe and promotes the town at every opportunity.

Imagine the extra numbers on the gate IF he was invited and introduced to the crowd.

cant see local boxing fans or anybody local(who doesn't normally come) becoming interested in popping down to Morecambe On match days, certainly not on a regular basis just because of Isaac.

We've gone on from Isaac and were reference Tyson Fury - the self proclaimed modern day Ali. Do keep up.

yes my bad.

if Fury wins the world title, and gets involved making our association known to a larger media audience in TV interviews, then we could benefit.

and then the likes of the BBC might take note and start showing us a bit of respect and remember who we are, and called.

He doesn't like us:

"the football team isn’t very good so I’m the only celebrity in town.”

“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

thank you very much for sharing that, that's made my mind up! I was in two minds about going to Dusseldorf, as a few of my mates are going to watch him fight for the world title.

I won't be supporting him.

Ye gods Keith, that was 4 years ago!!
Are you saying you would stick by your thoughts when you were 12, at age 16?!!!
Having said that, I don't agree with Tysons views on homosexuality & abortion now, but maybe they'll change.
Anyway, tonight has been a beanfeast of Fury pugilism, what with Young & Hughie Lewis, live on the spritebox, albeit without the News.

Chizzy is from Sin Tellins (St. Helens)

John McGuinness surely the most famous sports star from the town, born and bred.

Well, he'd have been 23yrs old at the time, so a bit different to a 12yr old! If he's changed his mind, then he should say so.

Too much 'god' stuff for me too.

Definitely. He's been to The Globe a couple of times (at least) because his son likes football but John doesn't.
