We have been getting 11-1200 on Tuesdays.

We got 4000+ when it was free.

Having set off to a good start and scoring goals, we are now on a plateau.

Champions League night.

The Club will already have a pretty good idea between 1000 and 4000.

Just hope we put in a performance.

Yep no idea either, just think that those that aren't too bothered, won't go in beforehand to capture the deal. Suspect quite a few just turn up Tuesday.

As you are required to buy a programme the day before, the weather shouldnt have any effect. I know its only £3 but I cant imagine anyone going to the effort of travelling to the club the day before then not turning up on the day.

Without the offer we would be looking at 1100-1200. The free game against Dagenham proved people are interested but needing to buy in advance will put a lot off. Anything under 2000 would be alarming. At weekends people have other plans and commitments but i dont feel this applys to week nights.

I don't think your far off there with 1585 I don't think people will buy into the you have to go and get it in advance.

Certainly less than 2,000. I'd say 1825.

My personal opinion (feel free to disagree) is that it's the poor Globe experience, on and off the pitch, that's the main reason for the low gates, not the price. Last Tuesday night was poor. The last Saturday home match (a long time ago now) was also poor. A Tuesday school night is always going to have fewer parents/children.

Add into that, not being able to take advantage of the offer on the day itself. It's OK for people living or passing The Globe when the shop's open, but how many people will make a special effort to come from Lancaster or Carnforth, or even those in Morecambe & Heysham without cars who'd have to either walk or go by bus? I just don't see the offer making that much difference and yes, I suspect the profits will be less.

Also, not sure they've marketed it enough either. It's the definition of insanity doing the same thing again and expecting different results. It's the same old - Bay Radio and Visitor - how are they reaching out to people who don't listen to The Bay and don't read The Visitor?

I would love to be proved wrong and to see The Globe rocking with a crowd of 3-4k, but just can't see it. Let's just hope that the team put out a good shift and show a bit of the class we all know they are capable of. (And that they don't run out of pies or beer!). We desperately need every single "floater" or newcomer to want to come back again.

I suspect the profits will be less.

Our theoretical break even point is "2500" and this would be of an average entry fee of £20, say.

2500- x £20 is £50,000 , then if say 10% buy a programme that would be £750 on top.

Normally this game might have attracted 1200, which is less than half of the above.

Even if we get 2500 @£3, our takings will only be £7500 - a massive loss!

Hope it works, we play well, entertain everybody and more importantly bring some of them back!

Oh and the free drink and programme for season ticket holders will cost a few quid too

A major factor is the fact (overlooked) that tomorrow is pete bests birthday, an event that lots of folk will be celebrating despite having hangovers from todays celebrations for Miley Cyrus's birthday.

That all excludes the season ticket holders. Some of those 2,500 will be season ticket holders who aren't paying anything extra for the game. If there was no offer, and we got a crowd of say 1,250, over half of those are probably season ticket holders, so we'd not have got much money anyway from paying fans on the gate paying the normal prices.

But it's not about the money is it? That's the point of the incentive. It's to get people back to coming to watch the Shrimps. An offer alone won't achieve that, they have to like what they see tomorrow, which is why I hope that everyone at the Globe (players and caterers etc) are on the top of their game.

As a season ticket holder myself, I've bought 3 programmes/tickets out of my own pocket to give to work colleagues to try** and get them into MFC.
