He means lack of match day updates, time sheets and commentary and advertisement. We must be the only club in the football league that doesn't bother before during and after a game. It is shit for fans that can't make matches sometimes !

Bizarrely, this thread didn't need an "o/t" because it IS about Morecambe Football Club!

Easiest answer is to get Morecambe Player. If you are a season ticket holder, it is free. If you aren't, it is good value. Freez & co put teams up as soon as they are released and have live commentary, as well as interviews that aren't available anywhere else.

If you haven't got Player, then, unless I'm actually at the game, I update the 'Player match thread' with news as the game progresses, so it is still pretty swift and more detailed than Twitter.

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Still should have more coverage from the clubs Twitter account tho. Even the shrimps 24/7 Twitter has been quiet recently and been missing commentary for a number of games. It's needed for the away games what we can't make or if your stuck in work on match days

cant see what the big deal is.

if you cant make the game due to work or your just busy, download flash scores app with goal alerts, team lineups, stats.

its quite funny, sometimes you get the goal alerts before Freeze shouts GOAL on shrimpsplayer

I used to do it. After setting up the account I felt the need to keep adding content such as Academy teams and Ladies etc. I also used to do match days adding photos, little stories, communicating with opposition fans and trying to make it fun. I did it for about 18 months or more and then I found myself at the velodrome in Manchester tweeting about the away game at Accy that was abandoned (I just couldn't watch us lose there again). My wife asked whether anyone at the club had thanked me for doing it all and I said no. She then said why do you bother. At the same time some cockend worked out I wasn't even at the game and started slagging the feed off. The following Saturday, having paid in like I do every game my mate said something like 'you're not even watching the bloody game or listening to me'. I said 'you're right' and stopped doing it there and then'. I've still got access but don't do anything on it. Bar our Media Manager I don't think anyone noticed or if they did didn't say anything about it. So I thought f*** it. I agree we should have it, thank our sponsors, make away fans feel welcome and answer their questions. Hopefully someone will step in but it's nearly a year now and no one has been arsed.

Posh's statement sums the whole lot up in a nutshell. Like having a car without a steering wheel

As Posh says, the trouble with updating it all the time is not being able to concentrate on the game itself.

The number of times I've missed a goal or a penalty claim etc by staring at my phone is ridiculous.

I don't look at all now during games. It's madness!!

Well I have got a steering wheel, particularly as a fan it takes massive dedication to do reports (and not just when you feel like it) as the action happens. Quinny and Co. deserve a S.O.B.E.
