Make no mistake. Our home record is relegation form. Defensively we are abysmal and the release of Hughes has left a gaping hole in the defence. Cambridge have lost their last three games and yet have thrashed us. Dagenham are struggling near the foot of the table and yet inflicted a heavy defeat on us in the cup last week. Change is required on and off the pitch, the present situation cannot be allowed to continue.

Only 4 weeks ago I thought it quite possible we'd be in the play offs and impossible that we might end up fighting relegation. Confidence is such an important part of winning at any sport that I now cannot see the team in the play offs and can almost see them fighting off relegation.

I know it won't happen especially when super Kev never gets subbed every match. It should do though because these players are capable of a lot better.

Jim should have gone last week, if he doesn't go tonight he is the luckiest man in football. That was a shambles from start to finish. The players aren't playing for him anymore and the fans have no faith in him. Go now Jim and let us remember you for the legend you are.

We will just keep rolling on. We certainly get to see goals at The Globe just a shame it's the other sides scoring most of them! £3.00 was a bargain tonight.....and a free cuppa to boot! Who could ask for more?

With 18months or so left on his contract he won't be going anywhere soon , the club won't have the money to pay him off.
Looking forward to Jims after match interview mind you I was looking forward to the after match interview following the D&R game .....still waiting

If the club can not afford to terminate his deal, he should do the decent thing and fall on his sword. If the Chairman and board can not see that the club is stagnating from the top to the bottom, they should all walk away too.

Shite performances on the pitch, stupid press releases about linking up with Chinese clubs and pie in the sky ground improvements just make being a Morecambe fan hard work.

Interesting that he's saying he'd like to take a couple off and replace them, but using the "no money" excuse for not getting loan players in. Presumably he's talking about defenders as most of his interview was about poor defending.

But, we had two defenders on the bench. He took off Goodall. So who does he think are the poor defenders? I'd say Wilson definitely as he was woeful last night. So how did he stay on? He could have been replaced by Goodall or Moly, or even by Beeley if Parrish moved to RB and Doyle or Dugdale brought on. So he DID have options. Why then, the no money excuse - he doesn't seem to need a loan player when there are other viable options in front of him.

Again last night, choice of subs was unfathomable. Goodall should have stayed on and gone LB for Wilson to be taken off. Also, why no Kelleher and/or Bailey on the bench? Strange to have two defenders on the bench when neither were played.

Beeley has really lost his sparkle - MOTM many times last season, but lacklustre to say the least this season. Neither Beeley nor Wilson were anywhere near good enough last night, neither marking the Cambridge wingers properly who both had acres of space far too many times.

Let's hope that McGowan throws off his injury sooner rather than later and can come back to replace Wilson.

For me, we need a whole new back four. We've got Dugdale, Doyle and McGowan, so just one missing place! Goodall and Moly could fill a space? Perhaps it's time for Jim to give it a try. He's nothing to lose.

I dont think blaming funds is an excuse for the lack of quality, its a fact, I dont see it getting any better for him, its like he's managing an NHS hospital, ''Right Bentley well done, and good news, we are renewing your contract, you will however have to make cuts, is that ok Bentley? "' Errrrrr , cuts peter, yes ,cuts...Ken?''

Interesting you started your post with ''utter shite'', seantheshrimp, these were the exact words CC uttered to me before leaving last night, and he hasn't felt the need to comment on your post?
