One of our problems is Wilson and Beeley persist in standing 15 / 20m away from the wide men giving them time to control the ball and either run at them or put a cross in. Ellison or Molyneux get closed down within seconds. Not rocket science

This was one of the problems when we played Plymouth so it's been going on a while. We shouldn't be blaming Beeley and Wilson as McGowan did it as well. It's got to be the way they have been instructed to play.

The traditional pre season Christmas slump is in full effect. Players knackered, injured, out of form, the usual.

We are not a big club, we don't get the attendances, we haven't got Uncle Pete's bottomless cheque book.

It could be a lot lot worse.

2 weeks ago we played Rochdale off the park and looked defensively solid, good clean sheet at Barnet. They can do it.

Perhaps we should potentially focus on grinding out a few clean sheets at home rather than the goal fests. I'm sure Jim will be lambasted for being too negative as a result.

As an aside, we are 6 points off the playoffs with a game in hand. Yes, I know that by having any kind of home form we'd be in the second round of the cup and safely camped in the playoffs, but still.

I can't answer about what happened on the pitch, although it was god to see Murphy back.

As far as the scoreboard is concerned, I spent 4 hours of my weekend with an engineer attempting to repair it on Saturday. Up until 30 mins prior to kick-off it was fully working!!!
Unfortunately, the company that installed it said it is too old and don't have any replacement panels.
Ideally it needs replacing, but that costs money!!!
As a few people have asked, I do not work for the club, and everything I do is voluntary!

As for technology, equipment nowadays is generally throw away and buy a new one. Not many mend things nowadays and the companies that made stuff have usually gone bust or done a runner

Yes, I think we all appreciate your efforts and that the scoreboard is past it's best. But, given it's faults, can you not go back to a previous software version or a simplified version where it shows the scores and the time within it's working area and lose the fancy graphics until it's either fixed or replaced. I know it's not your fault and that it must be frustrating for you having spent your own time trying to improve it, but last night it was neither use nor ornament.

As the Morecambe FC board is being shown on this website, it wouldn't take a genius to work out they were the probable suppliers.
The faulty panel is located right in the middle of our board, so reverting to the old screen layout still wouldn't work. I did say before, that ours was fully working up to 30 mins before kick-off last night.
