You can fiddle with the pricing strategy but if the core product is poor no one will repeat the purchase

I wouldn't pay £3 to watch that shite and I have only missed one game since we moved to the Globe.

It is fortunate that the season ticket is a sunk cost that I always buy out of this blind loyalty to the Club that I am fast losing given the inept performances we have been continuously served.

1] our prices need looking at, particular the stand with no roof what belongs at the Trimpell Club, although they could probably have a whip round and get Gez Walker to build better than that.

2] public transport(should have thought about that before buying the land, suppose to be successful businessmen?)

3] poor home form.

4] its a family club, mainly old men and kids, no banter. resulting into lads(who make noise) staying in pubs supporting sky sports.

Is cosy over there, get a nice view of all the movement on the benches across the way. First thing i saw after the match was a public transport bus taking the bargin hunting people back to their homes! Is there anything else we can blame for our woeful performances? Hmmm i wonder......The moon kept appearing it was a bit bright....did we plan to play against the wind this week? :?

Your not even scratching the surface there George

Souless ground with no atmosphere
Poor facilities for ordinary fans
Not enough Pies at half time
Board who seem to be getting more and more out of touch with the fans

I could carry on but wont

Just look at Posh's story about the twitter feed and not one person at the club mentioning it to him or giving him thanks. In the past the club was run by volunteers and everyone was shown appreciation when did it all stop.

and that's before the game even kicks off and we start talking about what happens on the field.

Never mind at least you can have a nice wedding at the Globe and my Mrs is looking forward to her works xmas party there

One question how involved is Rod T nowadays? I cant help but think not as much as he used to be but could be wrong, if he isn't involved as much I cant help feel things have changed for the worse the less he seems to be around or at least that's the perception I get.

Movement on the benches???

Jim spent most/all of tonight sat down again whilst in contrast, the Cambridge manager never sat down once and was constantly geeing his players up.

Come on Jim, I have every faith in you still, but we need more.

The poor attendance tonight was the silver lining to the filthly shower to what was served on the pitch. Imagine if 4000 turned up and saw that? Dragged +6 down tonight and spent a 1/3 of the match in the bar. How long can Bentley continue to serve up that tripe on the Globe pitch? What a shambles.

Morecambe will be lucky to get 2 more seasons in the league. It won't be long before the bookies will finally be right about us being one of the relegation favourites.

think we'll go bankrupt, attendances will drop further, I predict in the coming months we will be getting less than Stanley.

Very simply it was ridiculously complicated. If you're a casual or one off fan you need to read the paper, find the number or go to the ground, buy a programme etc.

It's not a bad idea to cut prices but make it simple and make it so fans like Marky No 1, who pays good money, doesn't get pissed off too.

The biggest problem for me was, as per previous deals like the Dagenham free game, this is when you give something back for your discount. So every entrant should be asked for mobile number, email, home address and maybe birthday. Then they can start to properly market to fans. But even these simple marketing basics aren't being done. Very poor.

You're lucky! 4 freebies round our table tonight won't be coming back anytime soon, Getting rained on half way up the stand doesn't help but they only managed about an hour anyway, can't understand why we do it.

Cheers Posh, at least you understand customers :!: thoughts

Cheaper to keep a paying customer, rather than find another one, eh

Indeed. Why couldn't they be bought on the internet, either through the ticket booking system or the online shop?

It's always the same with MFC., it's still all about going into the shop or phoning them. Nearly every other successful "business" (which is what they are), is doing more and more online. But our website is poor, not just the design we're apparently stuck with, but also missing content, broken links, etc. Facebook is no better as it's not up to date, and of course, we have split personality of a Facebook page for the Globe Arena and another for the football club and more for the community sports sections etc.

And yes, we should be harvesting email addresses and sending out newsletters with forthcoming promotions, reminders of games, news, etc. The weekly newsletter that is sent via the website is dire and only sent out to those who actively opt in to receive it.

Overall, still very poor marketing. But then again, on recent poor home performance, probably wasting their time as people will only come once or twice to see that on-pitch rubbish.

Does anyone ever e-mail the club and give them their ideas/support instead of slagging them off on here? I genuinely do not know what more the marketing guys can do. It is down to the players now.

Its up to the club how they conduct their business Sammy, I talk regularly to a director who is also a close friend ,as I'm sure others do, at the end of the day, they will do as they like, and as customers, the fans can say what they like really.

It just pains me to see the same old people moaning about the attendances. I genuinely do not know what more the club can do. The only way to get people to watch us is to pay them.

I've emailed the club several times over the years with suggestions. One of two responses. Either no reply at all (usual) or you get a generic reply thanking for the suggestion and saying it would be passed on. Same with phone calls, which usually go to the answering machine, and then into some black hole, because they hardly ever call you back.

What would be good to see would be the management and directors actually out and about on a match day - you know, in the stands or the counter areas, so that you could actually have a chat with them in person every now and then. Just like it used to be. But no, they're all holed-up in the W&L and boxes brown nosing the corporate guests aren't they? Do they even bother to watch the game these days?
