I would like the manager to stay and turn things around but he doesn't seem to learn in my opinion. The defence has been leaking goals all season largely because the full backs give their wingers too much space and the centre back pairing doesn't work. Nothing has been done to sort out these problems and all we have heard have been tame excuses and that pathetic bleat that "we are what we are". The management team need to get a grip and coach the existing squad to improve their game and face up to reality without trotting out feeble excuses. Forget about budgets and focus on improving the present squad which is a squad after all signed by the manager.

Rant time.
This is from the perspective of an average fan who loves Morecambe but cannot make it to every game.

I have lost faith! I cannot believe I am saying it but I have. What I saw Tuesday night and the week before was disgraceful. In fact the past 5 home games I have been to this season I have seen us concede 16 goals. It simply is not good enough. It would be okay if we at least played well but we don't. We barely play well at home...I honestly cannot remember the last time I enjoyed watching Morecambe. I just do it, like many others, because we love the club. The result today just tops it off. But back to my rant... we have been awful at home for years, I am just tired of watching them same old resort back to hoofball when things go to pot. Daggers game, high winds, what did we do...hoofball into the wind. These are professional footballers with a professional manager.

Jim, you are a legend but it is time! Whilst I do not post on here often, I have stuck up for him when my mates have not. I believed he was the right man working miracles but this has quickly turned into an excuse. Letting the sentimental cloud judgement. I already know two people who are seriously considering not renewing their season tickets. Not just because of recent results but because of our home form over the years. Next Tuesday I cannot bring myself to go, call me what you want but my time and money is precious and at the moment I cannot part with either on the stuff I have to watch.

For the first time I think there is a general consensus about Jim, which is worrying for him.

Something has to change.

I think the same old coals are being raked over, but, we wont go down, we are scoring far too many, despite being shocking in defence, we are netting lots of goals, york and yeovil will keep everyone at the bottom safe, so ,as Jim is safe, and would not walk out, he will probably go at the end of the season, and where does that leave us?
A badly supported club, in debt, with a chairman who wants to sell but can't, I think league safety and JIm Bentley are the least of our worries, We need a defensive coach, a name change for the stadium, and free admission for the rest of the season.

I really fear for our future you know.

All I can see is a Darlington situation. New ground, no fans to fill it, financial disaster, reform club and start again in non league.

I hope to god it doesn't come to this of course, but I'm worried.

Me and lloydie have been saying for a couple of years now that we could be in big trouble. Financially I dread to think what would happen of we went down and what our crowds would be.
The club have alienated to many people the past few years and even player better football in the conference I don't think we will get them back.

You can score all the goals you want but it means jack shit if the other team keep scoring more than you!!!

We are in trouble, big trouble. These spankings are not coming from the top clubs, they are coming from teams in and around us. How many more thumpings will it take for Jim to change something or maybe even lose his temper on the touchline?

A new set of eyes, new methods and someone who can motivate a team full of players that are at rock bottom will do me! Save a few bob on Jim's phone bill too!

I don't accept Jim's lame excuses. We constantly have alternative quality options on the bench who don't feature in the games enough. At the same time, we have Jim's cronies on the pitch who must be made of Teflon as they're always starting despite a string of poor performances. Insanity is doing the same thing every time and expecting different results. That's exactly what Jim does. Jim really need to shake things up, give a few of the regular starters a shock by leaving them on the bench and bringing some of the fresh players off the bench. How/why can he afford a loan striker when it's the midfield and defence that are our problems?

Sorry, but this season, Jim is the architect of his own problems. As others have said, probably the strongest team for a few years. It's all down to team selection, tactics, substitutions and formation. Jim is supposed to be the great motivator - where's that disappeared to? More often than not, the players don't look as if they could give a toss - they're clearly not being motivated at the moment.

I'd say that time is running out for Jim. He's probably safe for this season, but he and Ken need to up their game and that means doing THEIR bit to get more people to the Globe, by making the games more entertaining, scoring a few goals, and NOT conceding so many. It really annoys me to hear him whinge about low attendances when he's been a big part of the problem due to presiding over boring draws and losses on the pitch.

Conceding 12 goals in four games, six home defeats in seven; Jim's certainly under pressure. Too early to talk about his P45 though. If at 4-1 down the team threw in the towel then fair enough. Instead they thought back to 4-3. Jim needs to get back to basics with the defence on Monday and look to grind out a win at all costs Tues. I will be there if I can work out how this half price voucher from the programme works!

I put a tenner on that, I see no way of doing that now even though we are only a few points behind.
Managed to cash out and get £9.50 back when I returned from Stevenage - thought it might have been £2
