I wonder if the old "fine line" will crop up in the commentary, bearing in mind t could have easily been 6-3 .

How many more chances do our back 4 need? Hopefully McGowan will be back soon, and with Dugdale and Doyle sitting on the sidelines, Jim really needs to freshen it up and give some of the regulars a few matches on the bench. The alternatives are there, ready and able, so Jim can't blame "small squad" or "lack of money", or any of the usual excuses.

We had a bare bones side out against Walsall Ken , and for me that was the best football i have ever seen at the Globe , but did that same side play again ?

We've persevered with the long ball, hoofing it up to an isolated front man for bloody ages. When we were winning we were playing the ball on the deck, to feet and running with it, taking players on. Confidence was high and we were shooting from all over the place.

When we hoof it, we can't win the headers or second ball and it comes straight back at us. Either Jim had deliberately said that he wants that to happen, or the players are panicking. But hoofing the ball actually ends up putting us under more, sustained, pressure.

We've scored seven goals in our last four games and not won any of them. The only point was when we didn't score. Bizarre.

If it wasn't for our penalty, plus kevs goals, it would have been 4-0, and if their pen had gone in 5-0!

6-0, they missed two. If you are going to take the piss, at least pay attention!

He won't play Doyle as he's a "footballer", Jim doesn't DO them.
He can apparently play in front of the back 4 aswell so don't see why he's not trying that. Especially giving the defence extra protection.

Go with three centre backs that's what most teams do when they ship as many goals as we are doing.

Most of us didn't like that at the time, but the way we played so narrow today leaving their wingers - doubling up against Wilson - we could really do with an extra centre back.
Paz came across on numerous occasions which left us wide open in the middle.
What on earth has happened to our attacking, free flowing full backs I will never know.
Very worrying against all these teams below us

7-0 if Hughes header would have been given! Was easily over the line!

Indeed we did. And what a back four they were! That's what I'm getting at. Back four for Walsall was McGowan, Dugdale, Goodall and Moly. If I were Jim, I'd go with that again to give a big kick up the bum for today's back four! We always seem to play better when the chips are down and the side-lined players get a chance. Come on Jim, time to really shuffle it.

let's hope Tyson can vent our Fury and land a few strikes on the chin with love from Morecambe! :D He would look good in defence at 6' 9" and he's supposed to be quite mobile...

Just watched the highlights on Player. Wilson was really poor with his marking/defending (or lack of). Thought there was quite a bit of positive, good playing, and some decent attempts at goal. Could have/should have been us 2 or 3 up if it wasn't for poor marking/defending.

Wilson's best days are behind him, and have been for a while now, he's my 3rd choice LB

1st McGowan
2nd Kenyon
3rd Wilson
4th Goodhall(good passer but to slow)

if McGowan is isn't fit, then I would look to develop Kenyon, at least he gets stuck in, and is pretty decent in the air when heading the ball.

Good shout and one I'd previously suggested as he's had experience of the position when at Stockport. Wilson is a liability but I fear that Jim and Co think differently or is it the fact that they are pals off the field.... :?: :?: :?: and that Wilson will play despite being very poor of late.

Quite an accusation to level at Jim  If he does read SVs I think I;d steer clear of him for a while CC.

I'd like to see a back four of - McGowan - Dugdale - Doyle - Moly

midfield of - Murphy - Goodall - Wildig - Devitt

up front any two from - Barky - Miller - Mullin - Kev
