Offer Carlisle a temporary home?

I know we aren't exactly close but what do people think of the idea of offering Carlisle a ground share whilst their ground recovers?

Good PR and might bring some cash in. Might even get a few converts/ floaters from nearer to us

I also thought this yesterday - its an excellent idea
We did it ten years ago at Christie Park and I dont see any reason why we couldnt help out again
I think its going to be some time before Brunton Park is usable again

Their first game will be played at Deepdale against Notts County on the 19th. Great idea for the club to get extra revenue but also help our neighbours. Probably be a while before they return to Brunton Park.

Big time charlies probably think they will take 10,000+ to these fixtures. With the distance they might struggle getting 2000. Seriously though I really hope we offered as the extra cash would have been handy.

Maybe they wouldn't entertain the Globe Area because the home teams form is usually horrendous?

Maybe visiting much better grounds could be a little bit inspirational? Keith Curle thinks so

Either way, I would have at least hoped we would have offered our facilities to Carlisle-eh.

Match against Barnet wasn't it in the FA Trophy? Carlisle were in the Conference at the time.

Its probably easier and quicker for the Carlisle masses to get to Preston.

I'm sure the club would have offered their facilities, especially if there was an opportunity to make some money. But I can understand teams turning their nose at it with other options available, even if that means travelling further - a large number of fans wish we didn't play at New Christie, let alone other teams looking to use it for a home game!
