Yup. Today was always forecast as heavy rain. Doubt many Exeter will have been travelling anyway, but those who have must be really annoyed. Crazy waiting until last minute.

Feel sorry for the Exeter fans who'll probably be about 50 miles away. Also feel sorry for the club. We've had almost no income from games for over seven weeks now and that's now stretched even further. We've also lost a Portsmouth Saturday game. Our finances can't be in a great shape.

That's my point. Given the flooding, electricity disruptions and forecast for yet more heavy rain, it should have been called off yesterday. Is ANYONE surprised that it is off?

How official is this? Nothing on the OWS to say it's postponed.

But he won't be happy when his budget is cut even further. Disaster for the club's finances. Can't believe how few home Saturday games we've had this season so far.

It's a difficult one. Power has been restored and the flooding doesn't effect the away teams journey. Since the floods, there has been little rain and there were no worries about the pitch. So do we call the game off the day before because rain is forecast? Forecasts aren't always accurate and we could have looked very silly if only a small volume of rain was to fall.

Had the pies been put in the oven, and the onions chopped?

I agree Teams like Morecambe. The forecast up to last night at least was for the rain to stop at least by kick-off time. Although it hasn't stopped raining today, there was still a possibility of it going ahead.

don't see it that way, the fixture as to be played at another date(Friday Night?), and there is a very good chance we'll get a bigger gate with better weather

I think we would have been lucky to get 1100 today

If I was catering at a footy match I would make sure all the guests were arrived and sat down before the game was called off

Mr Child, you started whining at 12.06, 1 and a half hours before the pitch inspection, so if they had have answered the ''eight'' attempted calls before lunch, what were you going to ask them?

potentially ,if everyone else who supports morecambe tried ringing 8 times each before lunch, the ''children in need'' hotline would have struggled to cope ffs!

but you would only be getting part of the deal, in the hospitality package, meal - program - match ticket.

would have been nice for the club to have got the Bay Radio when announcing the game is off that the Club are doing FREE Pie n Peas to anyboidy passing by as a good will gesture

and had the bar open happy hour or 90mins deal £1 pint with the footy on TV

Happy 5 hours, £2 a pint in morecambe cricket club while the footy is on. Similar for a double rum and mixer, clubbing in for the boxing with a bit of luck
