O/T Leicester!!!

I see "little old Leicester" are top of the Premiership at Christmas. Strange how at that level a team of relatively more modest means can do so well. Haven't heard Ranieri say "we are what we are" yet!!

Err, that's EXACTLY what he's been saying, including last week saying something like 'our target remains the same as it did before the season started, forty-two points'.
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

He says his target remains the same to keep his players feet on the ground. He isn't saying it to excuse abysmal performances.

Westgate W. has hit the nail on the head. He doesn't tinker with the team. He picks the best team (in his opinion) and lets other teams worry about them. He doesn't change the format, style of play (etc) every week depending as to who they are playing. For me that is Jim's biggest fault - lack of continuity. That plus the fact that when we were winning 4-3, 3-2, or whatever he was totally focused on tightening up the defence. Jim - it doesn't matter how many goals we concede, providing we score one more than that figure. Let's be honest when we were winning by these scores earlier in the season, the football was great, the players looked as though they were enjoying things, and we were flying. Now - the players look totally confused and probably couldn't give a damn. Sorry Jim - you have blown it. Time for big changes - but doubt they will happen. Conference here we come?????????????? Hope not, but I can see it happening.
The wine and the football seem better in the sunshine!!

I still recall hearing the Leicester fans moaning, groaning, whining and whinging and not happy one bit when Ranierri was appointed manager on the various radio phone ins!!

Wonder how they feel now he's doing a great job?!

It wont last though as they are punching above their weight and on one of the smallest budgets in that league . Today they were quite lucky and conceded two goals so will have to do a bit of tinkering and tighten up at the back for the next game . ;)
