Being realistic, we are currently a lower-midtable side with a few half decent players chipping in with goals ie Mullin Miller Barky but do we have serious talent who will be snapped up by bigger teams for six figure sums? Not really, if you ask me.

A few ie Mullin and McGowan have potential to do bigger things if they continue to improve but I don't honesty think we're sat on £££'s worth of players right now.

Six figures on only £100,000 so I'm inclined to disagree.

Yes, I've considered it and have decided we should take the money and run!

being realistic we all know Barky isn't worth anything like 2million but even a quarter of that is one hell of a return on a freebie in his first season with us.

Doubt if we'd get that.......though if he did go we'd never know how much for. :(

When finances are in a bit of a mess at the moment due to a lack of home games then this is a sensible move in my opinion. If needs be we can always bring in an emergency loan goalkeeper.

If this move enables some money (although doubt it will be enough in isolation) to go towards a loan player in areas that do need improvement then all well and good.

Just read that we are in talks to extend Forrester's loan from Blackburn as well as in the market to get a Premiership / Championship young goalie on loan. This suggests to me that in both cases the players parent club will continue to fund the players wages which is common practise at such clubs these days where they prefer players to go out on loan and play games rather than have them do nothing more than continue to train. PNE's goalkeeping loan from Man U found himself unable to get games at his parent club hence his welcomed move to PNE.

I still don't get why we are after Forrester. It's not that end of the pitch where we are struggling (unless the club are expecting some of our strikeforce to be on the move) .

I'm not sure Forrester would be the answer to the (possible/potential?) issue anyway.

Very true and there is rumour of them dropping into the North West Counties League or, at worst, The Westmoreland League :o

B & B only of course went on loan to Kendal when Stringy was manager there as he'd have known all about them but, it's different times up at Parkside now as Stringy has since resigned of course.

Apparently we turned it down and told them unless they come back with a reasonable offer then stop wasting our time.

£2 Million would just about pay off PMG's directors loan so we wouldn't see much investment in the squad if he does go to North London's biggest club.

Looks like the forrester deal is off, we was hoping to extend till the end of season with an option of a permanent but Blackburn apparently want us to cover a chunk of his wages whilst he's here !

IF true then we've missed out on a player who for me could have given us something a wee bit different.
