There was only 56 shrimps fans there and apparently you can only comment on here if you have been to the game

Don't tell anybody but I wasn't at the game....... but superb result and a great way to kick off 2016. Just a shame about Peter M.....this could force Jim into the loan market as the squad is really down to the bare bones to even compete at the business end of the season as it approaches.

:D :D :D

It's never stopped anyone not there whinging when we lose, everyone is quick to castigate and apportion blame when that happens.
Any praise for when we win from the same moaners???

As if!! Blackpool Shrimps says it's isn't allowed! What a load of crap!! It's not true and you all know it.
It's been a sponsored moan a thon on here for the past month, will anyone post anything positive??? :D

For me-
The seeds of this victory were sewn at Meadow Lane on Monday in my opinion.
We went at them from the start there and did the same again today. We pressed high, with Tom, Miller and Kev all putting a shift in and stopping their attacks at source. Because of this, when we kept winning the ball on half way, we had players already in forward positions to counter attack. Devitt is a great player when he has options to pass to, and today and last Monday we had runners and created space when we won the ball back in midfield.
The back line were superb, a mention for Willo who had his best game for a while both offensively and doing the dirty stuff at the back well.
We can defend if we press high, and it seems to suit the players and formation, have we learnt the
lesson? Time will tell.
7 points from 12 with three away games in there isn't bad, but we need to get behind the team at our next two home games.
It's no use the moaners getting on the players backs the first mistake that happens against Exeter, we need to get behind them and encourage and support and hopefully our season just may not be as dead as some think!

Keep playing like this, press high, work hard and hopefully the results will keep coming like this week.

Keep the faith

I like many on here thought the cheating dirty wanderers would be too savvy for us. It sounds like we have revised our approach and are shutting down high up the pitch instead of letting the opposition stroll into our half and plenty of the players (if not all) have put a shift in.

Well done lads;more of the same please.

after next Saturday we will have 3 games in hand , all of them at home.

If we can take 7 points or dare to dream 9 points from them we could be very near to the play-offs come the end of the season.

Are the happy faces for todays result or your assumption that Jim might be forced into the loan market?

Unfortunately, it's always the same. Some people, such as Blackpool Shrimp moan like mad when we don't do well, then complain that they aren't allowed to complain when we win? Bizarre. Perhaps what he means is, he's not given free range to whinge and gets challenged by others who don't share his downbeat approach to life!

I've been known to moan myself lately, feeling that we've been needing to attack more. It sounds like we did that today with a great result. I'm therefore taking full credit for today's win after Jim obviously listened to me!

So how did that work out then?

Its quiet as most like to give it an hour or two to let the bickering build up for a bit. ;)

Well done Morecambe. Hopefully can build on this in the next few games. To get a clean sheet was excellent and I think we prevented them from getting a single shot on target? Perhaps the cancelled games have also allowed the players to recharge their batteries a bit.

Wasn't at the game and it sounds like hardly anyone else was either. What muppet thought this would make a good New Year fixture? Would have taken more like 500 if it was at Carlisle or even Accrington.

After a couple of months of negativity its good to be able to praise the team on a superb result at Wycombe. Hopefully we can now build on this result to string some good performances together to rise up the league table to a very respectable position. What a pity about Peter Murphy's injury, lets hope it is not as bad as early predictions indicate.

Carlisle would have been perfect, could have got a bus from Edinburgh or a train via Newcastle .

Credit where it is due. Jimbo and the lads have turned it round after a terrible Nov/Dec. It wasn't only the results but the abysmal football. Was at Meadow Lane but not Wycombe but yes that first 30 minutes against Notts County (looks like we got another manager sacked!) saw the green shoots of recovery.

I've always said that this season we've got the fire power and if the lads in other positions can do their jobs and be competitive we'll be back on course. Need to see it replicated at home for all our sanity but a great day for the Shrimps faithful. :D
