Ball is played down our left wing past their defence, our player starts to give chase,
Their defender moving in a totally different direction to the ball (and about 5-10 yards away from it)
floors our player. Crowd and players shout instantly...referee puts arm to shoulder as if to say 'fair
shoulder charge..play on'.
So according to his reading, it OK to shoulder charge anywhere on the pitch irrespective of the ball
so long as it is shoulder to shoulder.
