Wilson has been our worst player this season and with McGowan still injured Jim obviously doesn't trust him and is probably exploring his options for next season as I highly doubt Wilson will be here then !

Not slating him from Tuesday freez, just as a whole over the season he's cost us far too many goals an games in my opinion, the amount of times he gives the ball away is shocking aswell

Got to admit he hasn't shown the form he is or was capable of. But did a decent job last couple of games.

I have to disagree. Loz is often exposed with no protection on front of him. Kev doesn't overlap and often rotates with other forwards. Sometimes team orders appear to pin Loz back in a defensive role and that's not his best game. Loz has always been a progressive full back. I'd rather have Loz's ability to go forward. For me McGowan shows great potential but is right footed and therefore can only be considered as cover for Loz. My best option is Loz with Molyneux ahead of him to overlap as often as opportunity allows.

I tend to agree with that. There were few instances, especially in the second half, when Wilson got the ball with a lot of space in front of him. In the past he would have driven forward and got in a shot or a cross. Today he played the ball inside and sat back. I don't whether this is a lack of confidence or he was following Jimbo's game plan. Overall today I was very impressed by his and the team's performance

I'm with Zip It. The way we play with Kev, leaves Wilson often on his own backtracking with 2 opposition coming at him. What is he supposed to do, he can't go for both of them!

he played for 10 minutes on Saturday. Should start at left back on Saturday, otherwise not much point him being here

After what can only be described as a very poor game, Conman HAS to play in place of Wilson who had a nightmare and was guilty of giving them the ball which lead to their winning goal.

Utter crap and has been for most of the games he has played.

Wilson is another of Jim's teflon players who manages to keep his place despite being poor game after game. He's no better (probably worse) than Diagne and Threlfall, so what was the point of Jim getting rid of those and replacing them with Wilson? And even worse, what's the point in bringing in a loan player who seemingly is never going to get a decent game? Jim's "tactics" defy logic sometime.

If money is so tight why sign a player on loan to sit on the bench? It makes no more sense than team selections currently.

Wilson was a really good player. Many were disappointed when he left for the dark side. He was ok when he came back but he has turned to rubbish since his unfortunate issues.
It isn't working trying to play him through it.

Its only my opinion, but we appear yet again to be on a witch hunt for Willo at the moment.
The last time it happened to a player it was Kev Ellison.

Agreed he hasn't been great in every game, but do you actually watch the game??
Last night Willo had pretty decent game, he was our best threat in the second half and was available on the left and put in some great crosses and had some nice interplay with Devitt when he came on.
Admittedly his clearance mishit did lead to a goal, but their guy picked the ball up FORTY yards from goal, there was a lot to do and a long way to go before they scored!! Plenty more players were culpable for it!
But that doesn't suit the witch hunters argument does it?

Again only my opinion but he also had a decent game at Northampton last Saturday, but nobody is interested in that either!!

If you are having a bad day at work, your colleagues shouting at you really help you get back to your best, don't they??

He isn't the worst, but he's not at his best, we all agree, but the defending for those two goals in three minutes last night was like something from the bloody Keystone Cops movies.
That's a collective responsibility, and both crosses came from our right, so how that's Willos fault amuses me greatly.

Some of you see what your jaundiced eyes want you to see.

First half was awful, second half we came out and put pressure on them, eventually it told, we looked for a second but didn't get it, then got suckered with some abject school boy defending.
NOBODY is happy about it, its incredibly frustrating and disappointing as we are capable of better.

But spouting bollocks and half arsed opinions based on backing up your own spiteful theories on players really helps!!! NOT!

Maybe it is a collective thing and it is only my opinion, but I didn't think he had a great game there either. When we were actually attacking Northampton late on, with players in the box ( :o ) he gave the ball away a couple of times so much so his second lunge to make amends could have well earned him a red card and I thought he was lucky to stay on the pitch.

Don't think it's a witch hunt but maybe a lot of us want someone to blame for our team ethic at the moment and to have a loanee full back in from a Championship team who can't get on the pitch when we have a full back injured quite frankly amazes me.
