For me it's time to give the youngsters a go and see if they have the potential to be serious contender s for a spot next season. Unless there is considerable cash injection which sounds unlikely then the future of our club could depend on the youngsters. If as others feel we are safe from relegation then it's all to gain for by giving them the opportunity to show what they are made of.

Personally I'd rather see the youngsters giving it their all rather than sticking with the same bunch of players some of whom are well past their sell by date. I'd suggest that the youngsters would be well supported by the vast majority of fans.

In some aspects I feel for Jim, but others I don't. All of our defenders have been letting him down throughout the season with poor decisions and execution. Can you honestly say there is one defender that is playing well? Even the fans favourite Parrish is woeful, no matter how enthusiastically he claps the fans. McGowan looks our most accomplished player back there, and he's learning the game still!

All players here aside from Parrish, Roche and Fleming are his players that he has brought to the club, and even those three he has chosen to retain. He has brought them to the club, but now wants funds to bring in new ones? We are unlucky to be without Murphy for tow long spells, but other than that he has largely had a full squad to pick from.

Last night we had a better bench than a starting XI - that's your fault Jim for picking the wrong starting line-up. Overall we had a serious lack of quality on the pitch in the first half, Sardineleader commented that he needed matchsticks to keep his eyes open... and that's Hocking saying that!

How instantaneous was the improvement when Devitt Barky and Goodall came on? All three are comfortable on the ball and improved the players around them. There was a link between attack and defence that was missing until there introduction.

I do not want to see a centre midfield partnership of Kenyon and Fleming ever again without a competent footballer alongside. Ever.

Where did you get the two game figure from? Why not one or three?

We'll stay up on our away form, as we have pretty much every season under Bentley. The board will make the decision based on that I'm sure, rather than home form alone.

Zero points from them could mean coupled with zero points last night on the back of dwindling attendances (notice that you were absent ) could see questions being raised by a growing number as to Jim's future and also possibly from inside the Boardroom itself.....

It could (hopefully) all change and we'll get maximum points..

I posted a lengthy post explaining why I wouldn't be there last night, and the performance and how angry many people who did go are this morning seems to have vindicated my decision.

Could, or could not. As I said, the board will make their decision based on the performances home and away, not just the matches you attend.

Last night's MotM was Parrish, the Morecambe Player's MotM was Wilson. How often this season have we lost and yet a defender or Barry have been MotM? It suggests to me that we are defending too deep for too much of the game, allowing/encouraging pressure. If we'd press forward, the defence get some relief. Instead, the defence eventually slip, either physically or mentally, and we've conceded again.

The number of times we've played games against teams like Mansfield, who were struggling themselves, yet we've set up not to lose rather than to win, only to then go on and lose anyway. Dagenham in the FA Cup was an extreme low point, but we've not shown any signs of recovering from it. I attended the Cambridge game, expecting a positive response, but we were served more of the same. I decided to bring my nephew & niece for the first time. My fourteen year old niece commented "it's like watching the girls team at school, why do they just keep kicking it up the pitch like that?" They were both bored by the game. Fortunately they both enjoyed the pies.

Its all about opinions, my beliefs are held firm, always feel we should play football and back the players, unlike some who change with the wind and spout nonsense!!

Before the subs Wilson was definitely our best player. Having the extra cover at the back allowed him to play a more attacking role, which suits him better. He wasn't quite the Willow of old, but a significant improvement on what he's been. As someone else has said elsewhere, the wayward pass for the 2nd goal gave them the ball near the halfway line. They still had a lot of work to do to score, and several defenders and midfielders to embarass on the way there. Wilson hasn't been the player he was, and I do have concerns, but Saturday was his best game for us in weeks, if not the whole of this season.

One of the problems on Tuesday night was the fact that we didn't switch play to the other wing were beeley was wide open and had acres to run into.
Is this a case of lack of ability or lack of vision??
I'm sure Jim called out to switch play more than once during the game. It just didn't happen.
We would have taken a win of 1-0. We didn't deserve to lose but once more, unfortunately, our defensive frailties came up again.
I have to agree with others that the defence, at times, doesn't look like they are actual defenders.
Jim, please give us something to cheer about.
