Official crowd will include all season ticket holders. Probably a hundred+ decided to stay at home.

yes i was one of them, only been once since the F A cup flop, dont feel as bad with being a season ticket holder, they have my money regardless.

I'm seriously questioning my logic in purchasing a Mansfield ticket for next week now :?

Agree with all this.

Dugdale was hailed as a great signing back in the summer and now I can see why the Tranmere fans used the EXACT same "slower than a tanker" words to describe him.

Oh how we are missing Sammy The Shrimp, sorry, Mark Hughes.

I was in the upper echelons, it's a fantastic view from up there like when we played Walsall, but watching it last night just highlights how many errors, poor decision making, hoofs and pulling out of challenges we make :(

All these faults seem to point to the complete lack of confidence from management and through all the team that I have mentioned on another thread as most of the players last night have been applauded in the past for their individual performances. Let's not forget that we thought we had a real chance of promotion with these same players not that long ago.

I'm not sure how we managed to lose this game. Negative line up and formation resulted in a boring first half. We showed more intent after the break but it was the triple sub that changed the game. We dominated from then on and deservedly took the lead and it looked like we were certain to win. Had this of happened we would be praising Jims tactics (bizarre as they seemed initialy), instead, out of nowhere we concede two soft goals. Surely Doyle is worthy of a chance.

Regarding the tactics and the "brand" of football.

As an outsider looking in, it appears that we have won the right to play in the first half against a rugged physical side, brought the creative fresh players on in the second to have a go at them when they are more tired, got a goal, and then soft defending let them back into it.

The biggest issue, bar none, is the failure to beat dagenham in the cup. Everton away would have been the good news story to put 500 on the gate until the end of the season and everyone positive.

We haven't had anything to shout about since the Newcastle game, and that is now 2 and a half years ago.

Every chance we get to gather that bit of momentum to carry us to where we want to be, we just fall away every time.

I was at Alty last night, and as I commented to the lads I know from both Woking and Alty, Morecambe need a story. That could be a relegation battle as much as a playoff push, but you won't get anyone coming unless the football means something. I think the "brand" and "negative football" is well overrated, because our highest gates came from having the biggest most horrible side in recent history and relying on a target man and set pieces. However, the football meant something.

Unless we win or lose 6 on the spin, which I don't see happening, this is very unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Mark Hughes would walk into this team. He can't get a game at Stevenage and their fans don't rate him. They don't know how good they've got it; they don't have to watch the 'defending' we do every week.

I don't care that he called a fan a shithouse or that he shouted at fellow defenders when they were shit. We have no leadership at the back and he would improve us quite quickly if he was brought back.

I've been saying that for a few months. He did actually organise the back 4 and although some fans did not like it he bollocked them when they cocked up.

I think, to be fair, the problem with Mark Hughes was he didnt take responsibility when he cocked up, on or off the pitch.
In one game he hit an awful underhit backpass to Barry who just got there before the forward, and Yozzer bollocked him!!
He wasn't a bad defender, just lost his head at times when if he had kept his cool and reacted positively it would have worked out better for him and the team!!

He appears to have signed for Accy in the original title, but it has been deleted. Maybe he had signed before he left

Well when the team was announced i said he hopes to keep it tight for sixty minutes then bring on the cavalry which is how it panned out, well it appeared that the plan had worked out and we had done enough to win the game until we conceded two poor goals late on.

Personally i think it was a negative way to approach the game which resulted in a dire first half, start with Devit and Barkhuizen and get at them from the start after all sitting back and soaking up the pressure is not exactly our strong point, a season that promised much has gone from bad to worse not sure where we go from here.

The plan, if that is what it was, had a few flaws, I suppose getting to 60 minutes and still drawing was a success, but the ''bring on the cavalry'' bit ffs, a bit , ''roy of the rovers''.? :) :)

True but Roy didn't end up on the loosing side very often and lets not forget that Wilson guy he was a bit of an athelete ( that's the one in the comic by the way ) unlike our Wilson who is just comic.

We'd need a bit of fight in midfield too.

Wonder if Vic Guthrie is still playing? Or Blackie Grey??

Hot Shot Hamish anyone??

DEFINITELY showing my age!!

Didn't they sign a cotroversial south american at one point, Augusto de Silva?

A bit like Kevin Ellison but hairy.
